Will the future of Destiny be nothing but DLC?

Hey. This is not a flaming or trolling thread, this is a honest question to those who know more than I do about Bungie, or if I could get an official response from Bungie that would be very helpful as well. I like Destiny a lot, it has it's obvious flaws but I'm not particularly worried since it's still a pretty new game. But I am worried about the following: Will the new content be released as DLC? Is this the full game for those who won't pay for expansions? I'm talking about permanent content, not temporary events or anything related. I don't have so much money at my disposal which is why I'm simply asking if in order to acquire Destiny's new content as it gets released I'll have to pay 20 dollars every time. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

  • I see it as expansion packs as well. You get WoW, for example, and then they add more to it. They could GIVE it to you, but they sell you a whole new game to keep playing the old game. *shrug* Some would argue that Destiny alone isn't enough, and that's a fair argument. It feels stilted, the gameplay is limited, and there's no way for a dedicated single player character to get to level 30, you HAVE to interact with other people. I don't know what the next two expansions will offer, really. I'm going to assume more PvP maps, because that's what they did for Halo, and two possibly three more storyline missions, and another Raid location. Still not enough to keep the dedicated single player enthusiast from being ticked off they're stuck at twenty eight, instead of thirty (as I don't believe they'll raise the level cap first DLC), but it's what it is. As you won't be getting a full games disc worth of stuff for your $17.99 or whatever it works out to in price, they're not doing anything differently than what most game companies do when they add to their games, really. Does it suck? A little. Is it going to completely change the game? Hope so? Is it going to be everyone's cup of tea? Aw...No?
