I think the story is absolutely amazing, and has great potential, I just wish they included more in the core game. I look forward to expansions which might add to the story. I feel like a lot of it comes down to not really explaining some things.. Not sure..

Yea, but on the other hand, if they explained everything right off the bat, what would be left for the next years? For example, in Halo, we didn't learn about what The Flood really were until we met The Gravemind (I think that's what it was called).

Agreed. Halo: CE also didn't explain the Covenant or the Forerunners. It wasn't until Halo 2 that we learned any real details about the Covenant, why they were attacking us, or how the war had unfolded etc. And the Forerunners were still being fleshed out even in Halo 4. Personally, I love this form of story-telling, because it makes learning the answers to our questions so much more satisfying and meaningful when it finally happens. But it seems like people are more impatient than they were when Halo first launched.

Yeah good point, like don't get me wrong, i absolutely love this game and I intend to play it for a long long time yet. I just kind of think the story was a little rushed in that its more "here are robot things, kill them, by the way, shoot things" .. However reading further into the backstories and the cards there is such an interesting story behind this game. I do see where you are coming from, and the additional story expansions will be what pulls me back every time.
