They do have an entire board dedicated to feedback... That's hardly not listening.
I also think the story would be a lot tougher to fix than balance tweaks, lol. Rest assured, they've gotten the message -- criticism on the story has been near universal. I'm willing to bet future expansions and Destiny 2 see some big changes... not sure about the upcoming expansion... that may have been in development too long before the feedback could really be absorbed.

So now I have to pay for the story via another installment? Absolutely never going to happen. While they also do have an entire board to feedback they only ever really responded when players exploited the system out of sheer desperation and they also never acknowledge any of the posts directly. It was more the fact that despite saying that they are listening and talking about the future of Destiny they directly arranged it in such a way that we could not question, discuss or challenge any of their decisions. So they could fail to address any of the major issues such as the story and missions and get away with it (not hating but it seems to be just PR).

Shit happens, man. Do you really expect Bungie to remake the entire story in this version, or move on and try to do a better job next time? You can keep your money in your wallet for the future expansions and games, if you feel that burned over the story, nobody's putting a gun to your head to stick with Destiny. And whining about shutting the comments down is just silly. Feeeeedback board. For feedback. It's a board. That you post on. Any decisions you want to question are more than welcome right here, and are being perused by Bungie every day.

Yes I do. You can add story content to games and for Destiny they should, if they just give us another game that has story in it eg Destiny 2 I wont buy it because they are gouging us. They already have my money this time but they wont be getting any more in the future until they prove the game deserves it. Whining is different to criticizing them and how they have done this, when they have done it and more curiously why they have done it. The Feedback boards are nice but considering they missed the story and mission structure posts completely by the looks of it, also taking into account that they can get feedback directly from looking at comments on their posts (so it isn't an organisation problem since this is only occurring now). They aren't organizing feedback but simply displacing it when it is convenient for PR purposes.

Edited by IanHaupert: 9/27/2014 10:07:20 AMSo, unless Bungie delays all future work, goes back and reworks the entire story for this game, for free, you will never buy a Destiny game again, do I have that right? Come on. Even if that was remotely realistic, the time has passed. We know how it ends, and there's no point. Best to move on, and use the still compelling universe to do a much better job in the future expansions and sequels. Which, no, they are also not going to sell for free, given the work involved. And I'm pretty sure Bungie noticed the story and mission complaints, lol. Half this stuff is trending around the internet -- just because it's not mentioned in a *short term fix* post, doesn't mean it isn't being implemented in the future. Use your head. Same with complaining about the locked off comments when there's an entire board for it. You're just wasting both our time discussing this ad nauseum.

Edited by 101WaysToBeBronze: 9/27/2014 10:23:49 AMYes. Buying into a game that was such a complete letdown in almost every aspect save for Gameplay, Music and graphics isn't going to happen again. If they wont backtrack and build from their mistakes then do you really want to spend the next 10 years with this game? I didn't get what I paid for at all with Destiny, if they want to sell me short this time fine but it isn't going to happen again. I am not going to let video game companies believe that it is at all acceptable to sell games without content and charge us for it later. It is a exceedingly bad thing to promote or defend. Do I think they will change? No probably not. Will I try to get them to change despite this? Yes. If they acknowledge their mistakes as they have with this future dev notes with all the issues I would be far more inclined to give them a slight break. As for the feedback and the main point of this post we have seen enough situations (Xbone and PS4) to know that if a company does not heed feedback it will suffer for it. Also no change ever comes from not advocating for it, I do this not because I believe that they will shift but because they never will if people simply stay silent. The way the community is accepting how Destiny is using them irks me on a high level, so it is somewhat personal as well. Regardless, if you are sick of hearing these things it is only because they are a problem (if they were fixed they wouldnt have to be discussed at all).
