I farm myself but I want to know the general population of the players

Edited by Tenudin: 9/24/2014 1:27:31 PMMMO players will find ways to farm. It's what they do. I suggest those that are bothered by it get over it and take a look at themselves and why they are so butthurt about something that doesn't even affect them. And don't say it affects you because you chose not to do it. It's not like its locked out to you.

Edited by TheHighKnight: 9/24/2014 1:32:53 PMI tried it out of curiosity. It was useful for the fusion rifle double kill and super triple kill bounties. But for engrams it just doesn't seem worth it. I suspect peoples draw towards it is the same reason people are drawn to slot machines. It's not worth it, but people like rolling for prizes for no effort. Since it doesnt seem worth it, I don't feel like I need to do it to keep up. So I don't care. Play your slots all you want. But I get no enjoyment from it. The things I do enjoy in game give drops just as well and I'll make marks and reps for guaranteed gear as well.

I don't care what other players do with the game. I'm not a socialist hand wringer who needs to stick my nose in everyone's business.

Farming is part of the game. Exploiting a cave isn't. I just ignore the Scrub Cave now. If that's how people spend their free time, their hobby time, their fun time, I pity them & their uninteresting existences.

I've come to the conclusion that the issue is not whether or not to farm/grind, but it is rather the issue of the loot system. I'm sure that if there were no chance to get equivalent loot for playing PvP, Strike Missions, etc., it would be perfectly acceptable to everyone.

2 Repliesit's a part of the game. All MMO's have farming in them, if it's a bad thing then Bungie will do something about it. I think the only problem is the people who freak out and try to ruin others' experience by griefing them. FYI: I haven't even gotten to log on due to "centipede" issues. people should just let others play their way.
