Anyone's whose reason that this isn't an mmo, is because bungie said so makes me laugh. So if bungie dressed a raccoon up like a cat and told you it was a new species called a catcoon you would believe them to right?

So if you have a kid and name him Bob, I can call them Richard because I think that's a better name, right? Unless you want to drop the money for them to make the game, you don't get to say "I think it falls into this category, so it does". The creators do.

Edited by TennoHoc: 9/21/2014 11:48:06 PMYes you could but she would know her name is Bob. Calling her Richard wouldn't change the fact her name is Bob just like bungie saying this isn't an mmo doesn't matter. It has basically all the features of an mmo but it's not just because bungie says so? On another note I do get to say that, it's called having an opinion.

No trade feature. Piss-poor chat features. Barely any social interaction except PvP and matchmaking. Farming works on monsters FAR below your level. Just because you play a game online doesn't make it an MMO. It needs social aspects to be an MMO. You can have your opinion, but it isn't worth anything here. The owner said they didn't want it to be an MMO and it's missing major MMO features; therefore, not considered an MMO. I find it funny you get defensive over my disregard for your opinion. Your original post basically said everyone who thought it wasn't an MMO because the people who created it deliberately said it wasn't are wrong. So I can't call you out on your opinion, but you can call others out on their's...? Great logic. Have a good day. :)

Sounds like warframe lol but no that's what you took from my first post. Let me explain it to you, if your entire reason for not considering this an mmo is just because someone said you make me laugh.

Nope, the lack of trading and social interaction also add in to it for me. It's not exactly massively multiplayer if there's not much social interaction aside from Strike Playlists and the Crucible.
-
Rumble fighter, and Grand chase both mmos, lack trade and social interactions. Those are just two mmos I've actually played the list goes on.

And in both of these could you only create a max team of six players at any one time? Or have a max of about eight people in your instance? :x
-
Edited by TennoHoc: 9/22/2014 2:49:07 AMGrand chase was max 6 in pvp, 3 in pve. Rumble fighter, up to 4 pve, 8 pvp. Though the numbers might be wrong for grand chase its been years since I last even read about the game.

And how about in social hubs?
-
Edited by TennoHoc: 9/22/2014 3:03:33 AMRumble fighter you really were only able to talk to people when you joined a lobby with them. Grand chase was only slightly better with an in game clan system and a social hub. Those these things didn't occur until a year after I started and the hub was worse than the tower, besides joining/making a guild it served no purpose.

Still don't know how they're considered massive, then. :c
