I have comcast internet and I'm using a router/modem combo from them and their firewall was blocking my connection to destiny servers. Disabling the firewall on the router is a temporary fix. Anyone else with comcast internet please confirm.

Haven't had any connection issues lately though the comcast router firewall is still disabled. Hopefully this means something was fixed.

Yea I've got their Modem router combo because their online tests fried my old set after the Alpha and beta took place. Oddly enough I didn't have so many connection issues until they replaced them with this blasted Combo. Now I'm getting every connection error under the sun, and when I call to complain, its always the games server fault. Honestly I think it may be like a small portion of issues on bungies side, and the majority on Comcasts side. I've also noticed a get a lot of these connection errors during 12am-2am pst.

Disabling the firewall seems to be the only fix till Bungie fix their network communication protocol issues.

I get kicked from strikes and other activities in the middle of them

Dude I called Comcast, Sony AND Bungie and got the run-around. Comcast say it's the game, but Bungie and Sony said it's the network connection or possibly the modem. I have ZERO problems chatting or playing any other game I have for PS3 or PS4. I'm just about done with this garbage-ass game.

It's got to be a firewall issue. If not a firewall problem them somehow the data from destiny is being throttled by the ISP or blocked by some firewall in the network infrastructure. I don't think there is anything we can do at the user level to fix the d/c problems.

On your router can you change your primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and your secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4 this worked for me. Not sure why, but something to do with my router being stupid

Then I'll piss and moan till it gets fixed.
