So I literally just found this out today but apparently developer options are easily accessible on android.
Simply google "enable developer options (insert phone model here)" For example "enable developer options Moto X" then follow the instructions. You usually have to tap a button 7 times.
After doing this scroll to these three scale options as shown in the pic and change the default 1x to .5x
Voila! Your phone transitions faster than before!

Disable all the animations on your device and you will experience considerable change in your device’s performance. To disable these animation effects, head over to Developer options, and select the animation effects and make sure that you turn them off. 2 RepliesEdited by Cabbage: 8/28/2014 5:33:05 AMIf friend B stands at the bottom of a really really tall building; friend A goes all the way to the top of the observation deck and you have friend A send out a MSG to friend B. Will friend B receive the MSG faster if friend A clicks send and drops his phone straight down towards friend B rather than just clicking send and not dropping the phone?

4 RepliesYou know what really speeds up old Android phones? Rooting and putting a lightweight ROM with the CPU cranked all the way up. Oh, it'll kill your battery but it works so much nicer.

I don't like how it looks now, it's very sudden and it's not very fluid as before. Thanks for the tips though
