That's completely untrue. Aim-assist is a separate process that meddles with how you look. It has nothing to do with the game engine itself. I also know first hand that you can turn it of in Black Ops 2 (but not in the zombie mode). There are several different kinds of aim-assist. I don't remember their formal names, but these are some descriptions: Snap-to: When aiming down sights or through a scope your cross hair will snap onto a target. Bullet Magnetism: Lets say you face the enemy and start spraying. With it off the bullets will follow a computer generated random pattern. With it on the bullets will tend to hit the person more. This will also cause bullets shot near someone to "curve" and hit them. Target Attraction and Target Weight: This is what I was complaining about in Destiny. Target Weight makes your crosshair move at a lower sensitivity when targeting enemies. Target Attraction makes your crosshair follow an enemy when it moves, acting against wherever else you are trying to look.

Bf 4 has it to but you can switch it off! did that and my kills went up. An option is not difficult. I say option because there will always be people that need it everyone has different abilities in any game/sport. The ability to turn it off actually allows people to get better, having it on is like always letting someone win in a game they will never improve. This is why there are difficulty settings. Secondly if you can already aim it thows you off having to constantly adjust for what aim assist might do.

Not all games, BF4 you can turn it off completely, but it's definitely not for everyone, but definitely for me. And I don't think it would be too late to make it a setting to turn on and off or maybe a 1-10 scale 10 being where it is at right now. That would be a nice happy medium. :)
