How would a blade's design give you more control, besides too small a grip being worse? The handles look about the same length, although there's no real way to tell. How nice it feels really shouldn't dictate that.

You gave Freedomlancer his first debate on Bungie, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
-
Did I piss him off enough for you? Glad to help.
-
He just hadn't been, "welcomed" into our lovely family yet.. but he'll learn xD
-
Try to be more specific with you vocabulary on that first question please; I'm kind of lost. Assume that the handles are the same length and made from the same material (Although they clearly are not). But the design of the blade should have nothing to do with QUALITY of the control that the grip offers over the blade.
-
My question is why would the handle matter if they're around the same length? And how are they not the same length handle? There's no way to tell from the picture.
-
ASSUME that the grips are the same length. The difference between the two are the designs. I.E. How well it fits into the users hand and the amount of surface area it covers in one's palm.
-
I don't see how this is going to have any noticeable difference. It's clearly not a replacement for skill, and I don't see a couple cm squared giving someone the killing blow in a fight.
-
We are simply debating the quality of grip that each knife possesses due to it's design and are asking you to choose which one you believe to provide a better fit and feel for the user. Your choice should be solely based on the design of the grip.
-
Honestly, it seems to come to a matter of preference if you ask me.

It looks like a matter of personal preference. I don't have either so I wouldn't know which would feel better. Wait, if you're going just by surface area aren't you ignoring the design on Knife B that specifically gives more friction and therefore grip?
-
Edited by EpicFreelancer: 6/28/2014 7:30:31 AM1. I bet that everyone that has voted and will vote, doesn't have the knife either, so why should you need it in order to voice your opinion on which you BELIEVE is better?! 2. Surface area was just one of the many categories that were made about this grip and was not the sole thing that is was judged by. Did you even fully read my responses?! 3. I have told you that the materials are to be assumed constant in both grips and so friction should be VERY similar besides the smoothness of each knifes's design. 4. You get on this thread and have this long of a sub-thread just to tell us that you CANT tell us anything about which one you would choose. Why are you even here?! TO SOLELY ASK QUESTIONS?! My God... lol.
-
1. To make myself feel better. 2. SA and how it feels. I read. 3. But they clearly aren't, and Knive B's design should make up for the smaller perceived SA. That texture is going to increase the SA, but not by making the handle wider. Are you judging by the knives now, or the general shape? 4. Yes. I want to make you suffer.

Edited by EpicFreelancer: 6/28/2014 7:45:54 AM1. Makes no since. 2. There were more, maybe i didn't say... 3. I am purely focused on the grip for god's sake if it isn't clear enough even though I've said it soooo many times lol. 4. Why?!?! A++
-
3. I'll be even clearer. The general shape of the grip? 4. I'm bored :P
