Kiev (CNN) -- Russia warned Tuesday that any use of force in Ukraine's eastern region could lead to civil war, as Kiev seeks to regain control after pro-Moscow uprisings in three cities.
Pro-Russian protesters seized government buildings in the cities of Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv on Sunday. Rebels occupying Donetsk's regional government building Monday declared a "people's republic" and called for a referendum on secession from Ukraine to be held by May 11.
Right Russia I mean those protestors definitely weren't paid or "hired" to attack these sites right?
This is actually very troubling because this is exactly what Russia wants (And I am positive they are behind it) to facilitate an invasion of Ukraine to protect "Pro Russian" protestors. This is exactly the same thing they pulled in the Crimea, so lets see how this whole thing plays out. Only this time Ukraine is going to be fighting back and it will be a full on war, Russians aren't just going to march in this time.
Thoughts?

Well... Russia wants a war and the world needs one.

1 ReplyWhile I agree with you that this is what Russia wants and they are taking advantage of the situation, the US started all of this by funding the overthrow of the previous Ukranian government.

amerifat here, i can't help but associate the word donetsk with donuts...so then i see "Russia is invading the Ukraine's donuts region" and i think "well that's not very nice". anyone else got this problem?

This reminds me of Call of Duty 4 for some reason.

Sounds to me like that's exactly what the Russians want the Ukrainians to do, to attack them and give Russia a reason to invade Eastern Ukraine.

1 ReplyKeep calm and support Ukraine. There's a reason also why Russia lost the Afghanistan war.

Go go Ukraine!
