It kind of ruin the thing with the game being always connected and meeting people everywhere... I mean, why meet people if you can't communicate with them without going through all the hassle with inviting them? Sometimes it's just fun to hang out with random people in game. If it would be disturbin then why not have an option for muting everybody except the people on your fireteam? Conclusion, I will miss that function. :C

    You assume that it's a blanket restriction across all activities and in all situations, it [i]may[/i] not be. Regardless, it makes sense from a sociological point of view. It encourages positivity. You're inviting people instead booting people out. A join-the-conversation button vs a personal banhammer.
