Bungie using the proper dating system of DD/MM/YYYY is unusual...

They're using the military dating style. 04102013 is, of course, October 4th, 2013. I read just fine :)

Didn't know American military style was like proper British style.
-
Everybody in the world is using that style of writing their date down. Americans are the only ones oblivious enough to be able to say that MM/DD/YYYY would be the "proper" version.
-
I'm American, and I don't really consider either "proper". I just prefer MM/DD/YYYY because I'm used to it and it has the month at the start, which feels better to me.

And Bungie is an American company...
-
...and they still used the non-american time format. I wasn't trying to insult Americans... I am one myself. I'm just living abroad and am therefore not used to American-style dates or other stuff that gets used over in the States

Edited by Froggert: 10/4/2013 9:21:10 PMBut why? I mean, why would an American company that has a majority American fanbase (not sure if that's factual) use the international format of dates if they weren't hinting towards something? I think OP might be right.

I don't know, I think this might be nothing. People tend to interpret much more than there is, like seeing faces in random textured blocks. Trying to make out messages in random musical pieces. I believe this is exaggerated. Bungie has many employees that didn't originate in the US. Maybe just one of those people designed that little image and nobody cared to change it because a big part of the Bungie fanbase is living outside of the US. (Plus, I don't believe that the majority of people anticipating this upcoming game is sitting in the US.)

Well now you know :]
