3xz + (5x + 3z)(7x – 2xz + y – 4z)
Multipliation of brackets first.
Multiply the first term of the first bracket with each of the term of the second and then repeat for the second term of the first bracket. So...
3xz + (35x2 - 10x2z = 5xy - 20xz +21 xz - 6xz2 +3yz - 12z2)
Now add.
35x2 - 10x2z + 5xy + (3xz - 20xz +21xz) - 6xz2 + 3yz - 12z2
-(3xz-20xz+21xz) = 4xz
35x2 - 10x2z + 5xy + 4xz + 3yz - 6xz2 -12z2

Edited by We are Geth: 7/23/2013 2:56:36 AM
- 10x2z = 5xy
What's the purpose of the equal sign? Why not just put "+ 5xy" instead? Would it classify the answer as wrong if I didn't use it in my process, or is it vital in any way?

It was a mistake. I guess I missed the Shift key. It is supposed to be a "+" not an "=".
