The fact that this poll is being done on Bungie makes it biased towards Xbox.

Not even, PS4 was winning 99% of the polls on this site before the X1 did it's 180.
-
No the Ps4 was not. The most famous post was taken over by Xbox. It seems like that in every post.
-
Before he X1 reversed it's policies, the PS4 was winning in most polls. Don't know what you were seeing.
-
Whatever, I know what I saw.

Your like bishop, you won't know him, but iv got to show him this!

Edited by Obsric: 7/21/2013 9:38:34 AMVery likely. What do you think this means in terms of where the majority of the bNet community, who are the most passionate and committed Destiny fans, will be playing the game?
-
I think since it's a brand new game, it could go either way on both consoles, a lot of Xbox users are switching to PS4, and it could get just as popular to new people as Halo once did.
-
Edited by Obsric: 7/21/2013 9:56:00 AMNo doubt the communities on each console will be huge - they'll be plenty of people to play Destiny with. However, every X1/PS4 poll on this site shows (have a look through some of the older polls here - you'll see a clear distinction) the majority of bNet community intending to play Destiny on the xBox One.
-
Well more here, of course, but not everyone tunes in on Bungie.net, when the game releases, surely there will be newcomers to both the game and the forums, on both consoles.
-
I'm not sure what your point is anymore... I've already said that the communities on each console will be huge and that they'll be plenty of people to play Destiny with. You seem to agree that the majority of current Bnet members will play on xBox One. I've already said that those who are the most passionate about Destiny are here on Bungie.net. Ergo: the most passionate Destiny players will be playing on xBox One.

Edited by Ghost 0f Dawn2: 7/21/2013 10:27:30 AMI think passion can come from out of nowhere is what I am saying, Sure you have dedicated Bungie fans in the community, but some newcomer may find Destiny and fall into the lore with a passion even from Playstation, we haven't played it yet, neither have they, Bungie fan or not, I would say it is a level playing ground for passion.
-
Bungie fan or not, I would say it is a level playing ground for passion.
Have a look at the Destiny boards; have a look at the fan based art; have a look at the destiny.bungie.org site. The majority of those people will be playing Destiny on the xBox One. To assume that the passion from possible 'future' Bungie fans (which you infer will be all PS4 based) is equal to the already existing 10 years of passion from current Bungie fans is interesting. ...possibly a little disrespectful.
-
I don't think it's disrespectful at all, Bungie is growing, and long time fans will love I know, but is it fair to say newcomers won't love it and bring beautiful art just because they don't know haven't sen the game yet?
-
Will there be new community players who love Destiny? Of course! But that's not what you just argued. You made a judgement of current community members and negated the net worth of their passion by placing them on 'a level playing ground' against possible future Bungie fans. Either you don't think there's anything particularly special about Bungie.net, or assume the last ten years will be replicatd; either way, I think you're very mistaken.
-
That's not what I was trying to say at all, and apologize for the misunderstanding. I know I will love Destiny and many others here will too, I am only saying that it feels like a level playing field in the terms of passion, There are people who were passionate about Halo before I played it, but I did, and became very much so with it that I probably care about it more than a lot of people before me. So it feels it is very possible for the same type of scenario to happen with the eventual newcomer, not that the current community is wiped clean, but that others can be met with more passion than some of us here, not everyone of course.

Who cares?
