Are any of you that were going PS4 swayed by the change, or are you still going with Sony? In other words, has the removal of DRM made you buy a Xbox One when you wouldn't have before? Has removal of DRM swayed you to PS4?

I was going to stick with Microsoft. This change only made that decision easier.

4 RepliesI'm still buying everything. Maybe not a WiiU...nothing interest me.

5 RepliesI feel a bit miffed by the change. Although the share plan isn't "much" of a loss, the physical download system was cool, and innovation was halted a little bit. Although it may happen. I don't like when people or companies say/do one thing then another. I'm a stick to your guns type of person. I am buying my PS4 sometime after I hear reviews, and then an Xbox One once Halo or Fable are announced, and it will be my exclusives machine. I am also interested in the Sunny Delight video game after all, and maybe Titanfall.

3 RepliesI was never buying poopstation 4 Xbox all the way

8 RepliesEdited by MartinOfRedwall: 6/22/2013 2:15:06 AMI was going to buy the Xbox1 anyways, just not until next Summer. I'm ambivalent towards the announcement. On the one-hand, things remain uncomplicated used game and internet wise. On the other, I think it was a setback for the digitization of how we buy and own games.

I was with Xbox from the start just because of the server lists.

"I'm buying the same console regardless" For those you, who for some weird reason, would like to know.
It's a PS4.
1 ReplyI'm leaning more towards Sony but i'll just wait and see if Microsoft can some how convince me to buy their new console.

Was gonna buy a XboxOne since I have a 360. MS had their shit console reveal and that threw me back a bit. Then the confirmed DRM back then pushed me into Sony. Now that they changed their polices I still dislike MS...and the community. Half disliked the DRM stuff and either went to PC or Sony and now the Xbox fanboys are mad because they took away DRM and "the future of gaming" shit that they are using as an excuses to defend the old policies AFTER they changed. Have not seem one comment with the "future of gaming" anywhere before the change.

Still undecided. I'll probably stick with my 360 for a year or two like I did with the original Xbox.

1 ReplySeriously. Scroll down. There are already tons of these threads.

2 RepliesStill undecided. I knew it was a bad idea to commit so early because things change and issues will be resolved. Yesterday only further confirmed to me that I was correct. Committing this early is just not a smart thing to do. So... I'll wait.

I never made a decision in the first place.

I was going to buy the Xbox regardless.

No. I'm still undecided, but after all that PS4 is looking like a better choice. Even if MS did pull all of that stuff back, it's clear they support those kind of restrictive ideas and i'm not sure i want to invest $500 in a system that they could slap restrictions on at any time. PS4 is cheaper, has all the games i want, and is run buy a much more reliable company (IMO) so it looks like the choice for me, but i'm still gonna wait it out. Probably won't get one until sometime 2014 anyway.
