Let us go back on a spiritual journey back to the ones we loved growing up.
So yeah how about that PS2? Man some great games there.

So much of my life wasted on the Nintendo 64... Donkey Kong, Mario, and Ocarina of Time. Oh god.

My PS2 fried itself with my favorite PS2 game and it fried that also. My the controller thumb stick popped off when I was slowly pushing up....

Oh GamCube, you never let me down.

4 player split-screen team slayer on Halo 2. Linking with the 1st and 2nd generation Pokemon games. Mario kart multiplayer on the SNES. A group of 10 playing Super Mario Bros. 3 taking turns. These are my memories.

2 RepliesGamecube and Dreamcast memories. Speaking of which, there was some sort of Japanese combat game for Dreamcast I remember always playing where it wasn't a flat background style like Mortal Kombat but 3 dimensional and there were areas that if you knocked your opponent in, another part of the level was opened up. Anybody have any idea close enough to this description?

The Legend of Zelda (all console ones after OoT), Mario Kart, Army Men, Super Smash Bros, Halo, Perfect Dark, and Pokemon. Pretty much Nintendo and Bungie. Which is why I would love a business relationship between them.

ps2 era was the last golden age of gaming. I hope the next gen will be the new golden age.

2 RepliesWasn't, like, the first console ever made, called the Odyssey Magnavox or something like that?
-
1 ReplyYeah, I'm sick of seeing people talking about which console is better now. Pokémon Ruby on my black GBA was all I ever played, then I got a nice shiny gold Zelda GBA SP for Christmas, and Pokémon LG. Those were the days. And GTA SA on PS2.

So many hours lost playing the Timesplitter's series with friends. Monkey's + Virus = hours of fun.

Ah yes I remember now. Waking up early during the summer to play Rogue Squadron on my N64. Discovering Medal of Honor: Frontline on PS2. Going to a friend's house and playing Halo CE for the first. Deciding to get an Xbox just so that I could play Halo. Subsequently getting Battlefronts 1 and 2 and KOTORs 1 and 2 on the original Xbox. Good times, good times.

HALO 2!!!!!

OK so maybe some old school PS2 fan can help me nail down this game: I'm 90% certain it was called Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm, but for some reason at the time I was convinced the setting was Vietnam instead of Central/South America. My best friend and I only played the splitscreen "instant action" version of the game where the difficulty scaled by number of enemies and effectiveness of radar. Not sure if that helps trim down the information but it's been like ten years since I played.
