Please Bungie. Please. I beg you. Do NOT allow any kind of microtransactions in the game. Please. The game should be made with care for the community not how much you can rake out of their pocket. Microtransactions have always ruined games. They screw up the economy of the game to an extent that I can't even begin to explain. Whose with me?
And please reply to this thread so that the community can have attention brought to the matter for those of us who feel this way about microtransactions.
Update: These are the views that I have seen from people so far-
-
Aesthetic Changing Micro-transactions: Okay
Gameplay Changing Micro-transactions: Bad
-They can be used to unlock higher level items that can still be attained with in game currency but using microtransactions will reduce the amount of time needed to unlock them
-Using them could reduce the price of the game/take away a subscription fee
-The transactions could kill the economy if used improperly
- They could make players that do not use them feel less important/ unique in their own way, which is a big thing that Bungie has said that they care about.
-Many people do not think that Bungie will do this to us, as they see the bad things about microtransactions
-What is the point of having them if you can just make everything feel much more rewarding by just making it all in game or come out with the DLC?
Well that's all I got from this so far. More updates to come if the thread does not die.

When i originally opened this thread i agreed with you totally. Yet after reading through the comments from the Veteran Bungie Community Members, my opinion has swayed. A Pay to win ethic can definitely bugger off. If bungie implement unique but not overpowered items i can see it working. Such as a bullpup frame for a sniper rifle (then you could modify your sniper to look cool. Or coloured tracer rounds/ muzzle flash. Things that look bad ass, but are hypothetically aesthetic. I read somewhere in the comments about paying for a more advanced paint palette, which is an awesome idea. All of these things could be obtained in the game itself, but players could pay for fast track 'micro transaction'. Think Battlefield bad complany 2 - you could pay for a fast tracked assault class and end up with an m16, or you could play and earn it. It didnt affect gameplay, no one was overpowered, it was all balanced. My peeve is day one dlc. Forza horizon was a terrible culprit for this. One of the cars shown in a loading screen wasn't available until the fourth dlc pack Meaning the car model was ready and available but they decided to milk it for all it was worth. It went unnoticed by most, but it's ridiculous. The dlc has to be worth the money.
