SWTOR had 4 classes and at level 10 you could choose your advanced class. Each advanced class has a unique skill tree. So for instance you chose to roll a Sith Inquisitor. At level 10 you could choose one of two advanced classes; the Assassin (melee dps) or the Sorcerer (range dps/healer). So I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie is doing something similar as I think its a great idea to bring class diversity to the game.

Edited by WurstsaIat: 4/1/2013 4:23:17 PMWould be nice to have that in Destiny. Maybe like this: Titan 1. close-quarters combat, shotguns, melee weapons, "rage" mode (Vanguard) 2. heavy-weaponry like rocket launchers, machine guns, explosives Hunter 1. long-range combat, i.e. mainly sniper rifles, "anti-support", EMP grenades 2. assault rifles, pistols, stealthy, fast, cloak ability Warlock 1. support, SMGs, heal ability, bubble shieldish ability 2. glasscannon, pistols, extremely fragile, very powerful, fireballish ability

I'd like to see this implemented, but maybe make the advanced classes unlock upon quest completion... and I'd prefer that the regular classes be balanced so every single person doesn't just unlock the advanced class... I'd use FFXI as an example... lots of black mages out there, but you could unlock the summoner class... not many people did it though so every single mage out there wasn't a summoner, they were relative rarities... i want rare, unique characters... i'm going to be uspet if every single Titan is exactly the same at end game.

Agreed, but y'know assasins could be tanks too right?
