It just doesn't seem smart to begin marketing your game with a documentary presentation. Bungie is fairly popular within the industry, but I don't think they are so popular that the majority of those who will ultimately buy their game will hold interest in or even watch a viDoc (not that plenty of people won't watch it). But it probably wouldn't ultimately matter as those people will surely get at least a few teasers and trailers at some point relativly soon anyway. Despite thinking many of the trailers produced for [i]Halo 2[/i] through [i]Halo: ODST[/i] are some of the best the industry has ever seen, I like the viDocs much more than anything else. They tend to give much more broad substanative information to chew on.
