Come on now, with everything being a dumpster fire except for the story how will they incentivize you to beat your head against the wall if not through rng?

  • If the gear itself being interesting, people would stay. Take a look at this channel https://www.youtube.com/c/Ultraclocked/videos In comparison, all weapons in destiny is so borderlands era back in 2009 where every weapon in one class has the same base model and reload. Now take a look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FecH8SvsXI This is from borderlands 2, a 2012 game and each weapon manufacturer has their own model and reload animation, something that is more interesting than casings and sounds that not everyone pay attention compared to weapon model and reload animation

Too all you beating your heads against this wall: Why? God rolls - or at least 4/5 rolls - of these weapons drop for me all the time, and honestly the "enhanced perks" aren't even all that good. So what's even the point?

  • that would be too clever.. the entire weapon crafting thing is completely backwards, you should be able to craft a weapon from a recipe you found somwhere and then get the gun and then get better stats with every iteration.. if you need 5 deepsight versions of a gun that drops 25% as a deepsight version, odds are you already have one of the 25 guns being your god roll and you dont need anymore guns of that type..

the reason for that crafting mess its because its memory shards not blue print in the common sense of you understand how the backwards smithy works, it needs enough memory fragement to rebuild its past creation. that stoll does not make it anyless nonesns ethought to be honest it a system that mostly will disapear over time anyway when ever the decide to do that, sicne its linked to the darkness and the memowry recovery process by the darkness. even we know this its still meh.

Got a Grave Robber/Incandescent Mini-Tool with a Range masterwork the other week. Honestly, I'm good with that. What possible benefit would I get trying to grind my brains out to craft one of those? An enhanced perk that does 10% more scorch damage or whatever? Pffft, not even worth the time or effort.

  • 101% my point and thought.. i got a raid smg. even two.. and they got all the perk combination i would want to have.. IF the enhanced perks in the Weapon crafting would have any influence apart from homeopathic increase of Stats, it MIGHT would have been an incentive to craft something.. something like going up from 10% damage increase to 20% or 5% to 10% healing. but the increase of enhanced perks are more like 5% up to 5,5% or Damage from 10% up to 12% but overall damage is capped so that 10% would already cap the overall damage..
