Not relating to gameplay, just based on Lore which weapon or weapons are the most powerful in existence? I may be wrong but I think Hawkmoon is actually the strongest in the universe but only because what we don’t know the extent of paracausality the weapon has. if you’re not familiar, paracausality is a fictional (?) term within the Destiny universe that essentially means to defy the laws of the universe, therefore it allows that shot to possibly do things like reject gravity, produce infinite amounts of energy and kill things shouldn’t be able to die. This technically could allow it to destroy pretty much any object in the universe that is causal and also allows it to battle against paracausal entities. But again we don’t really know what is paracausal about the shot.

I remember reading the lore on Wardcliff Coil, if it goes wrong it can destroy a planet - it just doesn’t go wrong when we use it in game. It ‘could’ go sideways and blow a hole through the whole planet 🤷

The Traveler. Or possibly the light and/or dark.

Telesto or 1000 Voices -
Rat King

Before I would have said Thorn but maybe Lumina now - I’d have to check the quest.

2 Replies1000 voices. Because lore wise it grants your wish, which is the destruction of your enemy.

Touch of malice. It holds the power of the whole taken king's lineage in one gun and cannot be destroyed conventionally, meaning that we're going to see again one day.

I'm sorry I'm going to go off topic, but focused on something you mentioned. Paracausality basically breaking the domains laws, if that were the case, it should mean that laws actually never existed, the idea of laws were placed by other lesser beings or entities to control other lesser beings/entities. I still don't care about the term, to me it's just a way to suggest (or as I usually say, define) freewill against...well, destiny or fate. We are tracking on a path set out, I see the [End|Beginning|END] (one thing not separate) that we move towards, and there are variably two actual choices we will make, but both choices are an infinite expanse in to other choices, but inevitably lead back to the original two choices...destiny/fate... understanding the whole of the universe. Lorewise, maybe worldline zero. -
sleeper or graviton i’d say

The Templar plus Oracles, as well as the Gorgons in VoG use ontological weapons to reshape the timeline so you never existed in the first place, so I’d say they’re at least in the running. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

It would be a weapon of sorrow given very few other weapons were collectively hunted and destroyed

4 RepliesThe Greatest Weapon in the Destiny Universe would be the Guardian. We contain both the Dark(Sword Logic) & the Light(Bomb Logic) within us, without Competition. Both are in a Yin&Yang Dance, Harmony. Which makes us more Powerful then the Witness. I'd say the only issue is the Link with the Light. If we could link our Ghost to the Power itself without the Dependency of the Traveler, we would be "Legend".

Lubrea's Ruin imo

Probably graviton Lance since it fires black holes. Weapons of sorrow are also pretty strong since they are one of the few things that can kill guardians.

Not quite how paracausality works. In concept, sure. It can be applied to do those sorts of things. In practice, there are limitations. Most notably is the “kinds” of power there are and their limited applications per type. One type of power can’t do all of those. Least far as we’ve seen. Which is a good thing. It prevents any one power from being unstoppable. As for that, paracausal wise, would be the ship based weapon of Oryxs Dreadnaught. Non paracausal wise, the Almighty
-
1 ReplyTo date? Probably the Almighty while followed by the Dreadnaught. The latter put a hole in Saturn's rings while wiping out the entire Awoken Fleet (as well as the bulk of Oryx's main fleet). Meanwhile the Almighty actively disrupts a star's core to the point of causing it to go supernova. Can't remember if Rhulk had something similar but I haven't really read into his lore all too deep either. If we talk just guns then technically a Celestial Nighthawk Golden Gun, though it'd either be Hawkmoon or maybe Sleeper/Gjally. Actually, scratch those; it'd be Telesto or something.
