So... is it me, or are glaives feeling a little... underwhelming?
I can't quite put my finger on it, but for what is essentially a polearm with space magic, it just... seems lackluster.
The more i think about it, the more i realize that i just don't use a glaive for most activities. A scout can stun an unstopable champion far easier than a glaive does, and at better ranges. Close range options for special weapons tend to out shine anything a glaive can do, esprcially with incandescent being able to roll on a shotgun to aid in solar explosions.
Glaives also don't proc any kind of melee buff like AC/D0 Feedback Fence or Winter's Guile, though they do trigger the effect of Sealed Ahamkara Grasps.
The ammo economy in pvp for glaives also isn't all that great. They are melee weapons first and foremost, so having only a single shot drop on a brick of special ammo when it takes two shots to take out an opponent without stacking damage buffs is a little sad, especially since, for the ranges a glaive can hit at, shotguns and fusion rifles are much better options.
I just feel like, for a weapon type that was as hyped as it was for the launch of Witch Queen, they feel rather underwhelming. Maybe i'm just not using it right or something, but i still would like to see some kind of buff to glaives.

3 RepliesGlaive's are only good for the melee and shield as the melee has some insanely high dps and the shield can block most damage in pve but aside from that the range attack is worthless the ammo is terrible for how little it does and it being a projectile that only works 50% of the time just ruins it having a range attack
