case in point, we earn all these ascendant shards / enhancement prisms, but we have literally nothing to spend them on, forcing us to delete the items due to inordinately low maximum amounts allowed to be held at any given time, just to give us the exact items back in order to clear a flashing npc in the tower?!
or what about the new dungeon, duality, what was the original name for this place? tedious & boring & you were lookin for a way to punch it up a little? I'm not sure why devs seem to love to equate tedious/boring mechanics with difficulty. Like the last point of that dungeon with the constant in and out chasing symbols, and bellkeepers, etc what a load of horsepoop. I feel like y'all just were like "let's put a bunch of good weapons in a dungeon & then make it the worst possible experience to run it" et voila, duality was breathed into existence. Definitely without a doubt, the most unfun I've ever had playing this game.
& why are we 3 weeks in & we still can't use one of the seasonal weapons? (sidearms), which leads me to my follow up questions:
- how could this have possibly made it through testing?
- why is sidearm still a focused weapon for this season?
- why can't we simply replace sidearm, with another weapon for this season & let us all carry on?
It's like you're fking with us on purpose, because I fail to believe that this many people are this bad at their job, this consistently without it being done on purpose.
While I have you, a couple of other things that have been bothering me about this game.
- why does it still take 400 activities (which is an absurd amount to start with) to get a weapon that you are just going to sunset a few months later anyways? it's like a double slap in the face, because if its not the current season, its off meta & depending on when you're trying to complete the quest, the item might very well be slated to deleted or rather "sunset" soon, making the effort even more pointless.
- why do new weapons finish their catalysts in like 2000 kills, but old weapons still need 400 matches?, equating to many many thousands more kills. obviously the old system was flawed or you wouldn't have changed the weapons in the first place, so why not change ALL the weapons then?
- why do you like to frustrate us by using comically slow web servers for your matchmaking, instead of building the functionality into the game itself so you could actually join a fireteam quickly & easily, instead of just loading into web pages to find full parties, forcing us to play this hokey pokey dance with you in order to find parties to find content.
- in fact, why can't we just matchmake for all content outside of raids? like what is the difference in forcing to use a webpage to find a party full of randoms, all using in game comms to get through more difficult content, vs just let us matchmake to find the exact same people, & do the exact same thing to get through the exact same content? why do we need this pointless middleman frustrating us?!
- why is pvp & pve not completely & totally separate entities? because as a pve player it feels bad to constantly get nerfed because of content that you dont even play
- why is it ok to nerf pve stuff to protect pvp? like when is the last time pvp ever got nerfed to buff pve? I've never heard of such a thing, so why is ok in reverse? these have always been two completely different types of games that companies constantly try to mash together, making both groups of people miserable in the process.
- which leads me to my last point, barring broken mechanics, why do you ever feel the need to nerf pve at all? are the npcs writing angry letters to whom it may concern? I mean, us players who actually pay your salaries have been asking for quality of life & basic bug fixes for literally years & we never seem to get heard, but the npcs must have an awesome union, because all their complaints get addressed every patch!
ok, I'm don't btchin & complaining now, your turn =)
