I'm talking more specifically about outside of the game rather than in it.
One thing that I've really thought was cool about Bungie lately is how open and transparent with communicating with us unlike a lot of other studios with the TWAB and active community managers and devs on Twitter. It's totally cool to express constructive feedback or concern, not what is happening now all over twitter. Its a shame.
There seems to be an abundance of little man-children threatening, harassing etc these same people. Please just stop and leave the game if you're one of those people, nobody wants you, nobody likes you, give a good cry about whatever you don't like about this game and move on to fortnite or warframe.. whatever, just get away from this game.

So no they aren’t all that transparent

Good thing you're around, now that you've got that solved, what's next?

1 ReplyThe excessive threats and harrassment of the devs and such is ridiculous - but, Bungie isn't transparent with us. They feed us the same lines time and time and time again. "We're investigating this" "Due to a bug, this is disabled" without giving us any details about anything - we have to find out most "current bugs" from streamer videos. They say they're "listening to us" but yet continue to implement changes that are the exact opposite of what the majority want or have expressed, while ignoring many. Continuing to quickly disable anything that makes players progress faster or have more fun; but problems and game-affecting bugs get ignored for weeks to months.

1 ReplyEdited by Mickeman7: 6/3/2022 8:16:40 PMSeems fair but Bungie needs to stop harassing us low light level players too. Anywhere I go in Destiny, there are activities I cannot join and everyone looks down on me because of my low light. Plus, Bungie and their lawyers stole my paid content in the great vault steal. Sounds like karma to me.

Odd how you choose the few people who send threats to represent the entire community -
You’re not wrong. But this app doesn’t speak for all of us.

We are being starved and are hangry!

Yeah I encourage many to leave

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 6/4/2022 5:19:53 AMPassion does not justify personal threats, harassment, vitriol & abuse! Sometimes the toxicity of a gaming community is dependent on the game & direction itself. Call of Duty/Apex/Fortnite/Destiny (PvP) all examples, where it focuses quite a lot into putting players *against* each other. (Folk act like it’s the reality, training for the Purge etc 🤔🤯) And it’s not even like sport (with rules & boundaries) - it’s all “kill, kill, kill” & cheating/hacking/out of bounds glitches etc (on top of the dreadful P2P & all the fun/bizarreness that random internet connections around the world cause) The latest being in Rift - new map - glitching into hiding spots Things can be fixed & tested to the point of skill before cheating is accepted But cheats & those manipulating systems to gain an edge/win/gloating rights should be held to account, shamed & banned Any game that focuses into “competitive challenges” will always have some sort of toxicity (and all the better to humiliate those idiots) but never will it be acceptable to threaten violence & harm to anyone (player/dev/studio etc) ——— @Bungie - question (not affected me personally) Why, when players turn chat off to not/see/hear what idiots say about you/family/children etc… Why on earth is it logged, so players still see what’s said ? (off means off - not storing any of it for later)

I once asked a friend of mine why he wanted to be farmer and his response was ...."...the effing buggers don't shite talk back!!!" - in a VERY strong Glaswegian accent.

Perfect example of why not to intermingle personal and professional I’m sure there are a few “Bungie” Twitter acct somewhere where “Bungie” can relay “Bungie” related info. But if not, they might want to consider creating department-relevant accounts I still say their own forums are the place to start but I also know I’m in the minority on that. I guess Twitter is just too cool, but in a Steve Buscemi “Hello fellow guardians” kind of way

Pretty sure they’re “blamed” off about paying $100 for a piece of garbage from a multi national entertainment company that put their reputation on the line. Can’t wait to see the aftermath.

Edited by brigs_PS: 6/4/2022 1:19:56 AMSounds like you’re no better than them by saying “none wants you” lol “leave this game”.

I’d like to know your definition of open and transparent. With regards to Bungie’s political views, I absolutely agree with you. They most definitely are open and transparent. With regards to the game…? I would have to disagree with your definition of open and transparent. Bungie doesn’t give two shits about the community as a whole. What they do care about is the so called “content creators”… There is nothing open and transparent about Bungie and the game. Telling the community what you have already done, but not caring about what the overall community thinks, has nothing to do with being open or transparent.

"open and transparent" bruh they semi-regularly tell overt lies. That being said death threats aren't cool. -
1 Reply"This community" is not even a thing. It's just a bunch of people who don't know each other thay happen to play the same video game. That's some buzz word bs Bungo pumps to make you think you're part of something. You're just a average person that plays a fairly popular video game. Get real
-
You sound like you're new and have no idea of the history of lies told by this company. The sad part is that they have an outstanding product and they squander the potential with all the overcomplicating and overthinking of everything. Just look what they did to Rift. They turned a dynamic mode from D1 into a one trick pony.
-
While Bungie doesn't deserve death threats, they ABSOLUTELY deserve negativity with Iron Banner. There is no way in hell this mode should've ever seen the light of day with their current matchmaking setup. Sweat stacks now have another mode to pad their K/D in and spawn camp in. I literally cannot believe anyone at Bungie who plays this game would've thought this mode was a good idea. It literally amplifies everything wrong with the current setup a thousandfold. I consider myself a fair judge when it comes to merit, and will always give credit where it's due. But there is NO redeeming quality to Rift. A purely objective-based game mode has NO business in a game without proper matchmaking.

Why those employees tweet/Reddit from their personal accounts concerning company info, I’ll never understand. I have heard those platforms are way “nicer” and more “respectful” and better “moderated” lmao Maybe it’s the clout
