I've been seeing a lot of complaints about the void subclass for Hunter, and honestly I can see why.
Our main focus on abilities when it comes to void hunters is invisibility, that's been our thing for a while.
However, I honestly think they could've done a better job with what all you could do with the new Void abilities. Let's look at an exotic that a few of my fellow Hunters might remember: Khepri's Sting
No, not the Destiny 2 Khepri's Sting that's basically just a paper weight because even with it on it could never buff up your melee enough to even kill a normal thrall. I'm talking about the Destiny 1 version of it. The original Khepri's Sting had two abilities, one being that you could crouch for a few seconds and you would go invisible (Much lower profile in PvP vs our current ways to turn invisible) and the second, and the focus of this, being that if you melee someone from behind while invisible you would deal 4x melee damage. Yes, Hunters who never played D1, you could punch the lights out of a Titan with an overshield in one punch if you were sneaky about it. My point of bringing this up, however, is this: Why don't we have some type of ambush ability that increases a hunter's damage while invisible? At least make it so that anyone we hit for a certain amount of time would be affected by weaken. I'd honestly prefer that to hoping the monsters stop looking at me while I'm invisible 100% of the time. Just something that screams "Master Assassin" or "Deadly Sniper" like a lot of Hunters are inspired to be like. I know when I found Khepri's Sting in Destiny 2, I was severely disappointed when they changed it to be useless. Even with Void 3.0 I never see anyone use it. So really, just something that would increase damage output while invisible would be great, because the thing is if we even shoot once we become visible again. I'd personally find it cool if activating your super while invisible would increase the damage. And speaking of damage, have y'all noticed that nobody uses our void blades anymore? Because nobody touched up on that? Also, the fact that the void's ripoff shatter dive doesn't count as a melee but uses a melee charge?
What I'm getting at is only at the surface of how much missing potential the Hunter void subclass has, but I would honestly enjoy it if Hunters got a bit more love out there. Anyone else got some more feedback or ideas on Hunters, or maybe some ideas about the other classes?

While we’re on the topic of adding niche exotics that were hardly worth the slot, Patience and Time would be really neat to adf.

Well the thing about invisibility is that it’s not really invisible to begin with. It isn’t very hard to spot the outline of an invis hunter if you’re paying attention well enough, so radar manipulation is really all it’s got going for it. Kinda hard to be a sneaky assassin if people can still see you and shoot you when you’re sneaking around

4 Repliesuh yeah. lets give Hunters an even better invis, while you're at it you can combine them with stompies, graviton forfeit and renewal grasps because hunters get no love
