"Powerful Friends" secondary ability not activating with Arc Sipon

First off, thank you for making such a wonderful game! On another note, I have found an issue with the Powerful Friends mod. The mod has a secondary ability (+20 mobility) that activates so long as another arc mod is installed on the same piece of armor, or if another arc charged with light mod is equipped in any other armor piece. I have tried to use Powerful Friends on my helmet, where I currently have Arc Siphon equipped. Sadly, the secondary perk of Powerful Friends will not activate. The mod works correctly with every other arc mod I own, just not Arc Siphon. I have searched the internet, and it appears others have also ran into this issue. Is there anyway you could fix this problem, or if not, could you have Ada 1 sell more arc charged with light mods to offset the problem? Again, thank you for all the time and effort you put into this game. It really shows! Keep up the good work!

  • I feel like half the thikngs in this game don't work the way they say they do in plain text and its irritating as hell. If you put in writing that something does something. Make it do that thing or else specifically stipulate it doesn't work. To the best of my ability to imagine, supressive darkness exists for one reason. Only one. It's otherwise a useless perk. Bombardiers. Roll dodge, drop a bomb that supresses and weakens targets, allowing your hunter to build around weakening between the grenade that weakens targets, your trappers ambush or smoke bomb, your tether... and with suppressive darkness, even your roll dodge serves to weaken enemies, letting you focus primarily on keeping masses of enemies weakened for your team so they can clean up the newly weakened targets. Except. Except.... SUPPRESSIVE DARKNESS DOESN'T WORK ON BOMBARDIERS! Why not? Because bungie says so. Making suppressive darkness an entirely useless perk. Please bungie. If you put in writing something works. Make it work the way you say it does. Stop this "ho ho ho! did you read the description of the perk and think we meant it to work the way we said? That would be something a GOOD developer would do. We're BUNGIE! Nothing we do makes sense and we're proud of it!"

  • Bump but I’d like to add that some of the mods need reworks also. I think(not sure) Swift Charge the arc mod grants bonuses to reserves for multiple weapons including pulses and sidearms which, unless you’re hyper specific with exotics, is none of em. So bump for what you’re hoping for and bump for mod updates as a whole!

      I would assume it's literally just a case of the new siphon mod missing a simple flag that tells the engine that it counts as an arc elemental mod for the purposes of Arc CWL mods secondary perk activation requirement, that or the Arc CWL mods have a whitelist of "compatible" mods that it checks against. Either way it would likely only take a competent dev a matter of minutes to fix this but as to whether they will actually bother, that's another matter entirely!

    • I reported this weeks ago..speculation is they know and dont care because they want people to move away from orbs and charged with light mods anyway.
