Class items are quite literally the most powerful tool in your armor set. I have had to masterwork like 2-4 per character just to balance my fittings. Reworking them is the absolute last thing on Earth you need.
They are not useless by any means, you just have to know what you are doing with them. You have to get to the point of truly exploring Mods to see their value.
So I disagree. Strongly.

You clearly misunderstand the post entirely. What they do is not the same to why I should care about getting a class item a second time. They have no random rolls or anything else to differentiate from other armor. I don’t want class items dropping from raids or iron banner when I could be getting something that is actually useful and I won’t dismantle immediately.

No, I understood it quite clearly. You have no idea what Class Items are used for. Multiple Class items are important. As I said. I have like 4 of them on just my witch. 2 of which are from Iron banner, which actively gives me Prisms for completing matches, so that is but 1 benefit of getting multiple Class item drops. 2-3 of my set ups can now enter Banner with benefits. Multiple drops of Class items from Raids, will see that several of my sets can enter said Raids with the added slot benefit of its Element in case I need the extra help.

Yeah man, it’s totally valuable to get 43 class item drops instead of quite literally anything else.

Edited by Necrogen: 2/21/2022 1:26:47 AMBut you can say that about boots, chest piece, helmet, gloves...kinetic, energy, heavy...on this level, your argumentation is pretty bad
-
Are you stupid? Those have potentially good use. Class items don’t.
-
But you can say that about boots, chest piece, helmet, gloves...kinetic, energy, heavy...on this level, your argumentation is pretty bad
You can’t. Other armor pieces have random stats. Guns have random rolls. Every class item is the same. Get it once and there’s no reason to get it again.
-
Yes you can say that about others. How many times does one power level and need the drop to be higher with a better stat distribution? How many times you threw away armor pieces because you min max? At least with capes you can go look for a base one (if you dont care about transmog)

Once you get a class item once, no other version of it will be any different. One of the biggest problems in vanilla D2 was every version of every item being identical. Class items are just like year 1 loot in that way. It needs a change.

Its fine the way it is. We need slot leveling to allow a more seamless climb when power leveling. Class items are a non issue

Getting ANYTHING you have no use for is useless when it comes to use, unless you are going to eat it. They do have stats, adjustable stats, but stats are only 20% of their value.

That’s the point.
-
Hahahaha! No that is not the point. There is nothing this game gives you that is useless. Even blues weapons and armor have Sage Advice written in their bios. To best make my point, I am going to direct you to the lore of the Legendary "Empty Vessel" Grenade launcher. That is EXACTLY what Class items are.

My setups would disagree with you on that falsity, strongly.

I stick to one Arc for each chtr for the stat bumps, personally
-
That is not a bad way to go either. There is always a set that would benefit from and Arc Class.
-
I look at it like this; class mods are usually expensive and very limited. I always like to have 3 arc pieces of armor minimum for stat bumps. I hate mods that reduce stats so never really use them, protective light included If MW armor wasn’t so expensive, I’d be like you and have multiple but I’d rather invest in exotics considering the limitations

Edited by Exileant: 2/20/2022 6:29:23 PMThat is exactly what Class items prevent. About a week before my Holy Flame Hunt, where I gathered 100+ Prisms in like a week, (half of witch was gathered in 2 days) I found my main huntress set was backed into a corner. I wound up having to change a Masterworked Exotic.... 3 Ascended Shards 5 Prisms and who knows what else..... Just to change the element, all because I built that set specifically for a Class item, instead of making the Class item slot Modular. Everything has it's place. Void is not all stat reducers, you just have to know where to place Void.
