So you’re saying it’s fine that Titans and hunters both have 2 different one shot kill abilities with their exotic armor, that can also get One shot multi kills. And it’s OK that the warlock doesn’t have a single ability or exotic armor that can enable them to get a one shot kill or a one shot multi kill. EVER HEARD OF BALANCE?!? Because that is the absolute definition of UNBALANCED

Edited by IAGNRG: 2/19/2022 6:55:00 AMTitan has a couple one shot capabilities: -Shoulder charge with greaves >If you don’t kill the big glowing guy running at you, what are you doing. -Bonk with roaring flames >Large setup that is ultimately not as effective as you’d think, however setup warrants the payoff. -Fusions with the arms >Direct hits or meme builds that aren’t effective. Hunters have: -Bottom tree knife >Inconsistent or have to set up with arms, but not as effective as you’d think. Good for clips. -Tripmines with arms >Have to land directly with an awkward arc pattern and slow projectile speed. All of the above have immense downsides and inconsistencies, even if you spec into them. You might have success with them every now and then, but you’ll be much more successful just playing normally instead of around these abilities. Warlocks have great abilities at base, most you don’t even have to spec into, but doing so only makes them that much more potent/consistent. The game is fine right now - I’d be more worried when the new subclasses drop.

After running iron banner on all my characters this week and personally seeing how effective synthoceps + code of the missle melee And hunter shatter dive are at getting 2-3 kills easy, it’s clear that there is an imbalance. The ability to instantly kill 2 to 3 guardians is not one in the warlocks arsenal. If they can do it the warlock should be able to do it as well plain and simple. That’s what balance is.

If enemies are grouped up, aoe abilities will be stronger. If a group of 2-3 people are dying to one enemy pushing you, I don’t think the abilities are overpowered, I think people are bad at the game. Coincidentally, a well placed overcharge vortex can have the same kill potential. Even a regular vortex if placed well. Overcharge axion grenades will even chase enemies even if they run away. And that’s just the void subclass. All classes are fully capable, you’re just not playing well enough.
Additionally, both of those abilities require investment - in both exotics and being in air (plus a grenade and an aspect, and a set of fragments for the Hunter) Warlocks get that at base, and even better with one subclass. They’re fine as is.
Hunters can still one hit kill from any position. Titans can still one hit kill from any position. Warlocks can not. Damage overtime is not the same as instant one hit kill. It is unbalanced. It needs to be balanced. Point blank period. I respect your opinion but I do not agree.

The requirements on such one hit kills are strenuous whereas a good player will not be outplayed by them. I just don’t believe it’s anywhere near as much of an issue as you think it is. I can appreciate your last sentence. Not many people nowadays can do that.

Even if it is strenuous to do the fact that it can be done remains. I want the ability to strain myself and get the same results with my warlock. Cheers bro
