POLL: Where are you with "The Witch Queen" expansion?
Now, don't get me wrong... It looked nice. It did look pretty big. Problem is, Bungie has always been very good about hyping to the point of over-hyping just to under-deliver. Shadowkeep, anybody? Of course, I hope I'm wrong.
One of my main concerns and one of the biggest reasons I'm still not buying TWQ, even just the base expansion, is because of the Lost Sector exotics system. I genuinely hate that this is the ONLY method to getting new exotic armors to drop. I get so bored and frustrated running the same damn Sector over a dozen times just to get ONE to drop. Plus, this system also makes me feel like I'm in a rush with the game. Gotta get to the highest power possible quickly so I can get these new armors before the next season comes around and the power level goes up and I gotta, more or less, start over again. I hope they will stop doing the legend/master Lost Sectors as being the only source for them and just make them the more "efficient" method while still letting them drop from other activities or in the world just with a non-guarantee that it will be the new armors when you do get one.
Who knows, though? Maybe there will be enough in the free version to sink my teeth into and, maybe, get the base expansion later. I already know the weapon crafting will be available to everyone, though more limited, of course, if you don't own TWQ. Hopefully the Void 3.0 won't be so awful to unlock stuff like it has been with Stasis. Gods, I hate those stupid Aspect bounties. Gotta do something better there.
Bottom line, Bungie knows how to hype but have routinely come-up short on delivery. Shadowkeep and Beyond Light have both been insanely underwhelming and ultimately tedious. I hope, but not holding my breath, that they have actually improved with TWQ. Guess we'll see, right?

Like normal, I am in wait and see mode. Pre-ordering is a bad idea IMO, it just tells companies they can release whatever and fix it later as far as I'm concerned. I'm in wait and see mode for WQ, Elden Ring and Horizon Zero Forbidden West.
