I’ve been a exclusive Titan main since D1 so this is a little painful to say, but compared to Hunters and Warlocks, Titans multi-engagement survivability is lack luster to say the least. I recently tried out Graviton Forfeit on Hunter with Arby (I know I’m sorry) and I was amazed. It was like upgrading from dollar bin crayons to high end art supplies. Everything is sooo much easier on Hunter.
If I had to describe what playing a Hunter felt like in one word, it would have to be “clean”. Who needs resilience when you’re able to either instantly dodge out of a gun fight or straight up go invisible on command.
The thing is that Titan’s kits don’t benefit from playing passively like other subclasses do. Almost all of our kits require playing aggressively. Also, even after the shoulder charge nerf/buff (which I love), Titans general lack of mobility is holding the skill ceiling pretty low when compared to Hunters. Over shields can only go so far.
I know that twilight garrison is a meme now, but if Titans are ever going to be as effective in PvP as the other classes, more mobility exotics and neutral game focused subclasses going to be required.
I’m not giving up on Titan tho.
Edit: forgot to mention that my perspective comes from being a solo player. Also, I know that it’s part of a titans identity to be as tanky as possible, but it seems that every time we get something that gives us a noticeable resilience buff (i.e., Behemoth, Antaeus wards, etc.) it quickly becomes meta defining. Just my opinion tho.

1 ReplyEdited by Infamous067: 1/30/2022 12:09:25 AMThe mask and that titan exotic that grants armor on shotgun kills is not enough? Idk about you but Its laughable titans rather shoulder charge than use an exotic that literally grants armor on shotgun kills on a freaking shotgun meta lmao. But hey titans go ahead and just keep going for those shoulder charge kills and complain about why titans always get wrecked in pvp. Oh and I almost forgot about that titan barricade exotic where you can shoot through your barricade. Is that not a good exotic? Titans also fail to remember the use of that exotic that shields them and reflects damage as they slide. You guys should see how lethal titans get when they slide and shield themselves while reflecting damage and charging their fusion rifles. Its a freaking nightmare. Im gonna be brutally honest with you titan players, you guys are so set in your ways that you guys fail to see potential on some actual god tier exotics. I highly suggest you guys stop listening to streamers and actually experiment. Same goes for warlock and hunter players.

2 RepliesIf they do end up getting mobility exotics I just hope that its done carefully. It doesn't take much for Titans to become straight up wrecking balls. Original Behemoth is a perfect example of what can end up happening, especially in the hands of people that have been playing the class for a long time.

1 ReplySeems like you are bad a titan bro

3 RepliesThis could be fixed if they reduced well duration for warlocks and peek efficiency for hunters
I'm a titan main too and bungie genuinely hates us, we get the cool armour but bc everyone whines about us we get nerfed every odd patch, think they should have just taken their knee to the face and lived with it, titans have to deal with some crazy a** ranged set-ups n most of our gear plants us to a spot, titans need a high dps, fast as hell ranged super cause bottom tree sunbreaker is actually broken now, can't kill anyone with one to 3 hammers but I'll die in one, bungie has broken a perfectly good game by allowing streamers and influencers to play favourites
2 RepliesYou have a wall, pretty good roaming supers, one eyed mask and peregri-blam!-. Are you bad?

Do you know why Titans wear a towel around their waste ? It’s to wipe their butt after they blow a bubble :)
-
Because PvP is about mobility, and Titans have none. They're like the NPCs of the game.

2 RepliesTitan main and I have a 3.9kd this season.

3 RepliesAs a hunter main since d1 I love how titan and warlock mains complain about hunters being so much better in pvp. As a hunter every time I’m going up against either they either throw up a shield or drop a rift to stand in thereby blocking shots or merely absorbing them and regenerating their health. Hunters can move fast or go “invisible” but really can still be seen and shot easily.

As it should be.
-
I agree.

I think this falls under who is using it. You can get an absolute stud and he/she can run the game on any character. Then you can get someone who may just play once in awhile has a 1.0 k/d and not do as well
-
I'd say warlocks are the worse for pvp since they require a lot of practice to be decent. Hunters and titans are pretty even in pvp.
-
They suck in pvp

Hello Titan barricade?

1 ReplyPlayed against three cheese ridden Behemoth Titans doing that lame glacial shield tactic in trials last night. Literally unkillable.

As a Titan myself, granted not for as long as you, I don't think that more mobility is the way to improve, we are (supposed) to be the tanks, but we are too weak to survive, we either need more durability, or BETTER (not more) ways to play aggressively. NOTE: I'm not saying use ALL of these, I'm just throwing out some ideas, maybe one's good while the others are not, I'm just trying to get the ball rolling. All three classes at 100 resilience can take the same amount of damage, but Hunters & top tree dawnblade Warlocks can still MOVE better, all Warlocks could capatalize better on being tanky by using the stag helmet and the healing rift (top tree dawn taking the best of both worlds here), wasn't this supposed to be the Titans shining point? Even the setup for the tanky stasis Titan is more janky, we NEED risilience to mean more on Titans so we don't have to rely on going fast, maybe have damage reduction based on how close the enemy is and your resilience level? For better agressive play, one idea I have is to let Titans hipfire while sprinting on the ground (to keep lion rampents special), either put that on an exotic, or make it a base part of the Titan tool kit, this could help teams push in faster and give more meaning to hipfire+freehand grip combos, in fiction, if this were to be implemented, dunemarchers would need a close eye on it. About the nuetral game, we need an exotic that would focus on the barricade, "Spot-Locks", simply make both barricades a solid object (still hurts anyone who dare pokes it), and grant damage reduction when standing behind it, and with void 3.0, this would make the towering barricade all about defense, and give rally barricade another boost being able to capatalize on the healing/damage reduction & all the weapon boosts for a more agressive defense.
