I was gifted a wired Switch controller made by PowerA from a friend and I thought I'd give it a go in Destiny 2 (I mostly used K&M solely, but it's a cute controller so I wanted to use it) and the back two triggers will not register in-game (ZL/ ZR) even when using Big Screen Mode AND using the Bungie-made config for the Switch controller. Any solutions? They work in other games, but D2 is the only game that seems to not register the triggers. Thanks in advance for any help!

1 ReplyHey, I’ve done a bit of digging into this, from what I can tell there is a couple things that are causing this issue to happen. Destiny 2 does not support something called “Steam Input” which is a service made by steam for controller support, steam input does support official Nintendo switch pro controllers but there is nothing about 3rd party controller support. Destiny 2 itself only supports PS4/5 controllers and official models of Xbox controllers (Xbox one, series s/x) nothing on Nintendo controllers unfortunately. So all in all it looks like as of writing this Destiny 2 does not support Nintendo controller let alone 3rd party alternatives. I would check patch notes and TWABs on any updates on Nintendo controller support.
