They do and they don't for me. Long story short. They help clear my mind enough for me to function however mine are so strong and there's so many that alot of the time I'm in a complete daze for aleast 4 hours after I wake up. I cant wake up early anymore because they keep me asleep but if I dont take them I dont sleep for days so in my case its a bit of a vicious circle in a way. Not all negative though as atleast when my mind is clear its actually clear.
I always will, despite my own issues I've never been inclined to lets say give up to keep it gentle. If a dr a Councillor or a phsycologist doesn't have the answer I will just endeavour to find one myself. To the point where due to financial circumstances after being recommended C,A,T therapy ( cognitive analytical therapy) i wasn't able to pay for the amount of sessions I was recommended. So I simply looked up courses for that type of therapy, looked into what each module was asking you to do to complete the course and just did it myself outside of a tutored environment. Luckily I have a close friend who has a masters degree in physiology so I asked her to "grade my work" as though it was a student of hers and if I were to attend such a course I would have passed so I know im safe to practice what I've taught myself. Thats just me in a nutshell.
