Hey!
If you feel like your ban or restriction was wrongfully imposed, you may appeal here. However, please note that Bungie requires users to have a stable internet connection to play certain activities such as Crucible and will impose restrictions upon those who do not.

I have tried to times on two different accounts and no answer after a month. Its wierd, all the people iknow who got banned are from 1,7 - 2,5kd players and have 300-900flawless in this game. And we are playing alot of pvp, therfore we are meeting peoples all over the world, included xbox and pc players.
-
Unluckily they don't overturn temporary restrictions like the one indicated from him. We are all getting banned bacause of random reports. Fun fact Most of us are high-kd players.
-
We are all getting banned bacause of random reports.

We are all getting banned bacause of random reports.
Bungie never, ever takes action against players based solely on reports from other players. They understand the problems with doing something like going off of reports alone.

How do you explain then, that suddenly our connections, which we played with numerous seasons or even years before without problems, get restricted or warnings since crossplay is a thing? Even thou we do not see any lag on our side - lag is not a one way street - if you lag you feel it!! Atleast warnings are on reports alone. And are there any instances or operators in place which actually double-check on our connection quality. On something that would actually obejctively justify the bann or warning? Or is there just one dude sitting in the room clicking yes or no? A bit of transparency here come on.

Still does not explain how our connections suddenly turn bad for bungie like an apple in a fruitbowl without having any problems. And i am correct that warnings are based of of reports alone or does you statement include this as restrictions?
-
Nothing is done on reports alone. Connections can and do change over time. Hardware can fail or demand can put different loads on the connection. My connection was a solid 1000/500 for years and then it wasn't. Just like that.
-
Normal fluctuations in connection and hardware should be accounted for when desining a network environment for an online mp game. It is not our fault as consumers if bungie designed a flawed system. From my side nothing has change connection wise i have the same stats i had a year ago and still received a warning. We should not have to be networking engineers just to understand bungies overcomplified outdated networking. Best would be without any doubt dedicated servers. So i'll take it that there is no definitv answere if warnings are automatic by reports or not. Alright.

Can you then explain whats happening to so many players lately, we dont get any chance to fix it because we dont know what is the problem. I really dont think so many players are lagging, we are living in 2021, and playing alot of games and ive never got a warning for connection before. I think crossplay is the issue.
-
The answer is that there is an issue with your connection while playing pvp matches. Your connection is asked to connect to 12 others all with varying locations. What you are seeing here, no matter how large of a section is seems is just a small fraction of the player base, so to say you dont think so many are lagging, can be a bit of an overestimation. Even in the thread that attempted to capture a list of the impacted players the list was less than 20 names deep. Which when compared to pvp population is infinitesimal. At the end of the day, if you have had numerous warnings and restrictions about connection issues, there is in fact an issue with the connection. On a personal note, it took me over 2 months of dealing with my ISP to fix my issue, which was an ISP hardware issue. Some piece of hardware would cause packet loss when it was over tasked or over heated. This made it seem like it was a random occurrence because I could not duplicate the conditions because my line alone could not put enough of a load on it to cause the issue. All cross play did was open you to more players for the pool of candidates to play with. If you feel that strongly about it you can always turn it off via console options.

Its 20 people on my friendslist who suddenly startet lagging when newgen consoles was realised?!? What game is this? Do i have to be a internett expert to play this game? Its only Destiny i got issues with. I have changed the enitire house with new cables, router, modem, talked to the network company, testet all kinds of speedtests, packet losses tests, played on NAT open, disconnected everything who uses internett in the house. When we are playing qp or trials, we are matching people all over the world, ive tested the ping test where bungie have their servers, at least in US, its 185 ping, ofc its gonna be laggy. So tell me, what do i need to do?
-
Same here, I've never lagged and no one wrote me about my connection (even inside 6v6) but I got randomly banned. No one in my friendlist with low k/d got warnings, even the laggy ones. Pretending the problem is our is a joke. We are paying season and DLC (and a stable connection) and that's the treatment reserved for many of us. IDK what to say, I'm terribly disappointed from the support Bungie is giving to us.
-
So then i have to guess what is the problem with my internett, because the internett provider said everything was perfect, and then i can play in december to get banned again because i fixed the wrong thing. What about season pass and dlc i have paid for? This is a joke man
