Just got banned for two weeks - Need Assistance

I do not cheat, and have never cheated, and I've been blocked from matchmaking for two weeks. I've opened up all ports and had port forwarding setup for quite some time. I'm in Texas, and have Frontier as my service provider. I have no choice whatsoever thanks to Telcomms FCC rules but to use their network equipment. I can't use my own router for their services, normally I'd use my own. I do IT support for a living and cloud engineering. I've recently just been banned, and I'm very upset and trying to figure out a solution. Has anyone had issues in the past like this, and is there any way out? I have spent literally thousands of dollars on Destiny 2, and am a dedicated fan. I don't even really like doing PVP all that much, save for a reward here and there. I do like Gambit, and I can't do that at all now. I had a few error code Beetle in the past, but that's it, nothing huge. A few weeks ago they sent me some vague warning saying I was having issues. Then, a week later they blocked me straight up for two weeks. I'm pretty angry considering I didn't get any other message or email other than some in-game prompt. I have had PS5 Ports opened up, and the ports opened up as per Bungie's guide when they sent my warning. Frontier has been known to do bandwidth throttling and unfair practices that affect consumers but thanks to Ajit Pai and the FCC during the Trump admin, net neutrality was nuked. It hasn't been fixed ever since. Now I can't game? This is not largely the consumers fault I sort of feel like, but anyway, I just need some sort of out. I can troubleshoot through this, and I've been doing so the last few hours, but I don't wanna keep a ban on my account for two weeks now. I'm pretty shocked at the moment.

    • Starlink dude. Costly to set up ($500 for the dish even with SpaceX selling below cost) but the only way to fight arseholes like your ISP is to stop giving them your money.

      • I believe you! They ban players like you, but not those lagging unkillable PvP gods. Unbelievable!

I stay the hell out of PvP activities when I know I'm going to have a questionable connection (I travel for a living) because I know from experience that a bad connection can easily screw up others enjoyment of the game and also cause a restriction/ban on my account. Been a long time but I did pick up a 2 week 'vacation' once.
Frontier has been known to do bandwidth throttling and unfair practices that affect consumers
Apparently you know you have issues with your provider so you are aware that you connection can be questionable. Sounds like you should stay out of anything PvP related.

          • Sadly there’s nothing you can do. I was also banned for 2 weeks because of a few error codes and it was really frustrating.

          • I just got PVP banned for two weeks after getting a seemingly random warning about my internet connection a week ago. My connection is apparently rock solid and I have NEVER had a warning about my connection previously since I started playing in 2017. To me this is a severe punishment for a "first time offender," and does nothing to help the player. What's worse is the next "step" is a TWO MONTH BAN. Never had any issues with connection till Battleye was implemented. Either Battleye is being overzealous with its patroling of poor connections, or someone out there has figured out that if your report someone for a bad connection that it is an easy way to get someone suspended, as perhaps Bungie may not even bother to review connection logs. Once again, these types of bans are borderline vindictive and overzealous and do not solve the issue, nor does it help to solve the issue. I play against people from all over the world with bad connections and have long accepted that's just part of the game. Bungie just made some big announcement how they're looking to help the disabled with Destiny 2. I'm disabled, and may not be long for this world, and D2 is one of my only escapes. I asked Bungie for help with my ban, and I even told them I was disabled, but got an almost automated response telling me the ban would not be lifted. Unfortunately, I think we're going to see more "Two Week" suspensions coming down soon for many more people. But guess what, the cheaters are still here with us. They just play smarter and sneakier now. That's one of the reasons I rarely play PVP anymore.

            • Unfortunately, the only thing you can do, is much like me, get involved and get Net Neutrality rules reinstated by grassroots campaigns. Cox has been screwing us over in my area of late and I cannot even play between 4p-10p because they throttle everyone to 10down/5up even though I have 1500/500 as my paid for speeds. Because of 'network congestion'. That is currently completely legal. So I stay out of crucible or any PvP during those time periods. I know this sucks and is out of your control, but alas this is the world we live in. This game requires a premium connection and sadly here in the US, it is getting harder and harder to get this.

              • Try filing a formal complaint with your ISP is the only thing I can think of. You're paying for service and they should be providing it.
