Hello Bungie,
According to the current TWAB I am opening this thread to address this issue and maybe others have encountered something similar.
I’ve been having trouble lately with bright lights and flashing effects. In other games, I was able to make some adjustments to the picture by dialling down things like bloom and other lighting effects.
Due to my recently increased sensitivity to light flashes and light effects in Destiny 2, I’ve been unable to play the game anymore.
Examples: You kill enemies, weapon fire creates flashes (obviously). You collect glimmer, you get a bright flash of light signalling the resource was collected.
I understand, that Destiny in it’s design strives to minimise HUD and notifications overload by using visual queues such as these. Which is great for most players.
For someone like me, it would be nice to have an accessibility option like “Reduced Light Effects Mode” or “Light Sensitivity” or “Flash Sensitivity” modes (or something in that direction).
Something like this, could enable players with sensitivity to these effects to play and enjoy the game again. Also, I believe it could help to reduce strain on the eyes and brain for other players as well, who choose to play longer sessions, especially in competitive game modes.
Thank you for reading this long post and for your consideration.
Best Regards,
Vrilion
