I dont use any 3rd party application that would effect destiny code.
It doesn’t have to be for destiny to necessarily cause a ban. Simply having the wrong program running while also having d2 running can get you banned in d2.

yea I've been told and I've checked my system before the ban the only program that was running was opera, steam, discord and spotify which is what I usually use but the day on the ban I had open opera, discord, steam and an idle game runnin the background which was on for most of the day the the update came out and ban so the only thing that was different was runnin destiny and a other game at the same time
-
Which game was running in the background & were you using any macros/ahk or trainer for it?
-
it was cookie clicker on steam no trainer used just left it to run
-
Were you using any auto-clickers on it?
-
no I used to a program installed while ago for an auto clicker but removed it as I didnt use it
-
Well none of the programs you listed will cause a ban….and simply having another game also running won’t do it either. You had to have some software or program/software running that both battleye picked up on & Bungie confirmed to be against policy.
-
since battleye got released I havent really download any extra software that would take them this long to detect so I'm at an loss to what it could be
-
I dunno. Only Bungie does & they banned you. Aside from the appeal, there is nothing more for you to do. Making a post isnt gonna help you really.
-
yea I guess dont know what to do really destiny has been my go to game to play with friends this past year due to all the lockdown from covid
-
Just gotta hope it was truly an error….or you gotta take a real close look at everything that was running to see what it may have been.

So this morning I've made an alt account just try runnin all the same things as the day of the ban ran it for an hour no issues, so I'm starting to think that maybe I join a fireteam with a cheater in it as I was doing matchmaking before the ban
