Fashion is dead, we killed it. Being a few years behind in a classy sort of way is the only option for staying afloat. You will never see me walk around in a lime green puffer jacket and purple tube top but according to the trends that’s what I should be wearing. Forget the fashion industry, it’ll make you cry. Wear comfortable clothes and add some color, that’s all you really need. My style is defined by 3 traits I look for: fit and flare, contrasting bright and neutral colors, and comfort. That’s it. I’m not in with trends, I think if I tried to be I’d lose it. Fit and flare is a huge deal for me. I’m super tall, super skinny. If I wear anything too tight I look like slenderman. I love baggy clothes, but it’s difficult to style bagginess in a way that looks sophisticated. For bottoms anything high-waisted goes. For tops it’s a similar deal. Cropped with mid length or wide sleeves. This pairing gives the illusion of me being a normally proportioned person. Throw on some boots and it’s more than perfect. Nothing I wear is currently “in” so to speak, but I don’t look out of place. I’m a stickler for oversized jackets, too much jewelry, oversized boots, huge button downs, and anything with big pockets. The “fit” makes me look put together, the “flare” brings comfort, contrasting depths, and a casual feel. Everything I own is comfortable enough and uniquely styled that I look like I put effort into my outfits when I really just curated a perfect wardrobe where anything goes together and I don’t have to think too hard about it.

  • That sounds like too much effort for my lack of tastes. But oversized jackets are great. I got an XXL jacket hoodie that's awesome as an emergency tent

  • It’s all about putting together the mix n match so you don’t have to put effort in Bigger sweatshirts hide your hitbox. I’ve got a yellow one the size of Nantucket

  • Not yet, I start up vision therapy again in a month. Dunno what that’ll do since I already did a year of it and saw no improvements. It’s really painful 3D exercises on a touchscreen tv, or a horrific counting game that tracks your ability to multitask in math. I hated them both, I’m not looking forward to going back, but the last time we consulted a doc I was given pills that could’ve stopped my heart. Trying this again is a much better option

Cropped and high-rise; that's still pretty big. I can tell fashion is stricter and more complex when it came to women's fashion. For me, I was never a big fan of high-rise pants since it uncomfortably compresses my stomach and it gives the illusion that I have a short upper body. That's why I lean more towards low or mid-rise (as long as it's not too low), since it lets my stomach get some freedom. But hey, clothing style is subjective and we're allowed to wear whatever the hell we want.

You’d be shocked how hard it is navigating the cropped shirt section. I hate shopping. High rise shorts and jeans are a godsend for me. I’m so fookin long I need that drastic difference between my upper and lower half. I’ve never had the problem of my stomach being uncomfortable tho, you have to be wearing something several sizes too small to achieve that, or you’ve got jeans that are just too stiff to be comfortable. I agree, so long as it isn’t stilettos. Nobody is allowed to wear stilettos, they are of the devil. Yes, I love being 6’5 in them, but they are just torture and I WILL assume anyone wearing them is unhappy with their life.
