Says it in the title. All arc staffs are literally useless since they don’t offer anything more than what other classes can, especially with the potency of stasis warlock and sentinel.
Tether is only decent in solo activities and is made irrelevant thanks to debuff mods in the artefact, while spectral blades are laughable in pve especially the super.
Golden gun is half decent with its good super regen but celestial has been massively overshadowed by cuirass and chaos reach being powerhouse damage supers. Not to mention the crit multiplier on a lot of bosses don’t favor celestial.
These changes aren’t going to change people’s minds on who to pick for pve. It’s even clear that people don’t want hunters in pve content (just look at lfg) since they don’t offer anything better than what titans and warlocks can already do.

Hunters are perfectly viable, they just aren't particularly relevant right now I'd probably wait and see how the armor changes shake out next week, considering that's where a large part of Hunter power comes from. Artifact might be more in Hunter favor next season too, so too early to call for me personally

Golden gun.tether, arc staff will be a great add clear.... Hunters are PvP class with some pve stuff while titan and warlock are the opposite

I’m a hunter and feel like we have amazing PvE utility. We have a good dps option in Celestial (yes I know it’s not thunder crash or chaos reach but it’s great and faster to cast so you can get back to weapon damage faster). We have tether with is great. But the best thing about hunter is invisibility. My high end build is bottom tree tether with the aeon swift gloves and a finisher centric charged with light build. I can play super aggressive and get in close and finish champions and yellow bars to give my team infinite heavy and special ammo. It’s the most fun way to play any end game content as you don’t have to be super passive and it is so good for your team.

This is too general, and biased to take seriously. As someone who is a Hunter main, but can use all 3 characters with equal efficiency, I have to prove your argument wrong. I have my preferred sub-classes, but none of the Hunter ones are "laughable" or even as minimalized as "decent" as you put it. Never had any issues with any of the sub-classes, never told by my strike/raid groups that my Hunter wasn't needed, usually top 2 in DPS in raids in spite of using the same weapons as others (and that's with all 3 characters with high consistency, so makes your argument moot). LFG is not the best example of the gaming community since it still remains the most toxic source outside of Trials/Comp. Considering there were times where you were banned from end game content by LFG boards if you didn't have such and such a gun, with such and such a roll/catalyst. It's okay to have an opinion, but don't make blanket statements as if it's definitive for everyone. What does not work for you, does not mean it does not work for others.

Stasis and tether hunters are still viable. Stasis for crowd control, and tether for orb gen.

Edited by Yeetus-8: 8/6/2021 8:06:51 AMDud, I’m pretty sure all hunters can agree that we are fantastic in PvE. Support role gods, Gunslinger Dps, Arcstrider ad clear (and boss damage now in certain scenarios) and revenant is amazing for end game content! Oh and Macaroni Abracadabra

Lmao Hunters are fine in pve
