i bought the legendary edition about 1-2 weeks ago. I saw someone say that if you're too far into the season it will give it to you the next season, but it says I don't have it for next season either
-
That was not accurate information. When you buy a season pass, you get the pass for whatever season is active at that time. What platform did you use to buy the Legendary Edition, and was this before, or after you turned on cross save, as that makes a big difference. Also, you say this has happened on the past. What DLC and seasons did that happen with, and on what platform?

I bought the legendary edition on steam. I am fairly certain I had cross-save turned on before I installed it, but I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it just to make sure. Still no luck yet, and I am quite sad When I saw this has happened in the past, it was a different case scenario. My friend and I have been game sharing on Xbox and he bought the deluxe edition. It gave me the deluxe edition, but I never ended up getting the season pass. I am not mad about it since it was on Xbox and I believe the season pass is set to your account only.

It sounds like you bought it before cross save was on, which means the season passes are tied to your (currently inactive) Steam characters. As for the previous incident, that was working as it should have been. Season passes cannot be shared. Only the specific account that buys them gets to use them.

thank you all for the responses as I am very clueless To clarify, what do you mean by inactive steam characters and Can I fix this? I played on xbox before so did my season pass somehow go to my xbox account? Thank you in advance

You currently have cross save turned on, with your Xbox and Steam accounts linked. When you activate cross save, you have to choose one account to be your active account, and the characters, gear, and game progress from that account will be what you use any time you play while cross save is active. You chose Xbox to be your active account, so when you play, whether you're playing on Xbox or PC, you're using your Xbox characters. Your Steam characters and all their gear is now considered "dormant." That means they are completely inaccessible while cross save is turned on, and the only way to access them would be to either turn off cross save, which would allow you to use your Steam characters on PC, and your Xbox characters on Xbox, or you could request that Bungie change your active account to Steam, which would let you use your Steam characters on PC and Xbox, and would make your Xbox characters and gear become dormant. Based on what you said earlier, it sounds like you probably bought the Legendary Edition before activating cross save, which would have given the included season pass to your Steam characters, and then when you turned on cross save, since you chose to use your Xbox characters, they don't have access to the pass.

So I took your advice and tried disabling cross-save. Now I have to wait 90 days before accessing my account... Now I am hopeful that bungie would be willing to help me in this situation, but their contact support is god awful. I am trying to speak to a real person who works at bungie and it keeps sending me to their automated "Help" area. Is there any chance you have a link to a contact form that isn't a search bar to find my non existing problems. If I have to wait 90 days for something I got scammed $41 for it to not work I am not going to be a happy man.
-
Once the 90 days has been triggered, it cannot be bypassed for any reason, as it would have warned you prior to deactivation. You are not locked out of accessing your account. You just have to use your characters on the platforms on which the were created. Now that you have access to your Steam characters, do they have access to the season pass?

I have the season pass yes, BUT WHATS THE POINT IF I DONT HAVE MY STUFF
