Can you explain your statement of “her internet is out of her control”?
English
-
Well everybody’s internet can have a bad day connection wise that’s what I meant, some days are better than others, buts she never had any lag problems so I don’t see how this is fair
-
lol, you do realise that a user has no control over their internet connection once it leaves their house right? Just like someone like me who lives in Australia has absolutely no control whatsoever over the transpacfic cable that runs under the ocean connecting Australia to the US.
-
So she still plays on these days/times when she has some connection issues. That’s not out of her control. Simply don’t play pvp when/if these issues are occurring. Obviously it’s bad enough to affect others & have them report her, then Bungie found sufficient evidence that her connection was enough of an issue to give a warning for it.
-
That’s understandable, but how is she supposed to know this all the time, because like I said, we play together and I live on the other side of the world and we don’t get any lag issues, even when playing the crucible or gambit together, so is she supposed to stay away from it altogether?
-
Y’all living & playing a world apart is the first problem. That’s gonna cause some inherent lag for one/both unless your connections are strong & stable enough to handle the distance. If she doesn’t want to get restricted, then yes she should stop playing crucible & gambit until she can diagnose & fix any issues her connection is having.
-
We don’t get any lag issues at all when playing together that’s what I mean, so I don’t get how other players are expecting this, but thanks!
-
you may not see the lag. others will, especially if it's your upload side that's lagging. everything will look/feel smooth because you have the downstream bandwidth for it. but, if the upstream is struggling, other players see you rubberbanding all over the map because your upload can't accurately report your position fast enough. hard to target/kill someone like that. it's unfair to other players.
-
You two play in the same fireteam, I gather? That's probably why you don't see much of a lag, but that's also why the other players you go against see and feel it a lot...
-
So we can still play EDZ/EAZ, strikes, public events and things like that right? Just not crucible and gambit?
-
just get a better connection ffs..and use a LAN not WiFi
