God, comp is such a bad game mode.
I played it well enough to get my Unbroken seal finally this season, and now have to force myself back into it to get a 4 win streak for the gilded (as if I didn’t do that like x20 this season already, but aight game). Now that shouldn’t be too much of a problem, right?
Well, it wouldn’t be, if the game actually worked. Apart from the Stasis abuse, cheese gun overload and the need for pixel-perfect sweat aim to even begin to think about winning, as if all that’s not bad enough, the lives system totally doesn’t work. In the posted clip, you’d think that a rocket triple kill when the opponents have 1 respawn left would be perfect for sealing the game with an easy 4-0 lead.
But, apparently not, as somehow 1 respawn translated into the entire team respawning, thus allowing my team to inevitably lose the game. Why does the game now allow for this to happen? I know it didn’t in the past, but since Beyond Light, a quick team wipe can just nullify that respawn count when you run out.
Especially as gilding will require comp to consistently be a part of many players’ seasonal experience, this issue should not be allowed to continue. It breaks the flow and predictability of games, and makes a horrible experience even more of a total drag, knowing that being too efficient in killing your enemies has a chance to entirely backfire and perhaps cost games.
Bungo, plz fix.
