Hey Bungie!
I could really use some help diagnosing a recurring anteater error. I've gone through the help articles and followed the steps in this one: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049496531
I've done the following so far:
- Wired connection
- Set up port forwarding for all necessary TCP, UDP, and TCP/UDP ports (based on the instructions in the article linked above)
- Contacted my ISP to have them diagnose any packet loss issues (they replaced hardware and wires, both mine and some building wires)
- Swapped to Ethernet 2 connection to rule out standard ethernet port issues
- Made sure firewalls were allowing port forwarding
- Monitoring packet loss and latency (nothing out of the ordinary while I've been playing)
There doesn't seem to be a pattern to when the error happens based on what I'm doing in game; sometimes I'm just standing in the Tower, and sometimes doing Grandmaster Nightfalls with friends.
I've always used a wired ethernet connection since I started playing Destiny and didn't seem to have issues until around Beyond Light. I'm wondering if there's any way I can do some more diagnosis and get towards solving this error, just not sure what to try next. Happy to take any testing steps necessary on my end that would help.
Thanks for any help you can give!

1 ReplyHey there. The ANTEATER error code indicates that you are experiencing a general networking issue. This could be your internet connection in general, your connection to the Destiny 2 servers, or even an internet service provider issue. Below are suggestions that may help with your issue (Which I see you've done some of these already):
1. Use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi 2. Quit any program or turn off other devices that are streaming 3. Clear your console cache or, if on PC, verify the integrity of your game files.
