I’m pretty sure SIVA isn’t really much of a thing anymore. Like at all.

I mean not necessarily since (1. Siva is on failsafe ship somewhere (2. And with the help of the bray family & Rasputin (and hell maybe Lord Saladin to make amends with Rasputin idk just spitballing here) we could build a new replication chamber (maybe this is what bungie was planning for future season) I mean at some point we gotta wrap up the Siva threat -
We wrapped up the SIVA threat in Rise of Iron, dude.

Or did we........... (Suspense music plays) -
We did, otherwise the crisis wouldn’t be over.

Edited by Carbon450: 3/4/2021 10:37:19 PMAll the Exodus ships had SIVA stores on them, and it's not impossible that there may have been a back up SIVA production plant on Titan (as a refueling stop for the Exodus ships, or just to support the arcology), or IO (supporting the Warmind Outpost there) And Rasputin even had SIVA caches hidden away out of the system. Those would need their own local controller to receive commands and directed the SIVA out there. I just thought it would be cool to have a neutral power source. As well, it would be a bit of a redemption of SIVA, and think of the cool SIVA themed weapons and equipment we'd get out of it!!

Ya, like killer said. Without the Siva Replication Chamber, Siva isn't a big Threat. Yes FailSafe has some.....but where? And it's not enough. Like many will say, "we need to find/discover a new Replication Chamber"

Edited by Unbreakable Patches: 3/4/2021 10:41:18 PMTitan and Io are gone and the SIVA replication chamber was destroyed in Rise of Iron. SIVA is, for all intents and purposes, basically completely gone. There’s not likely enough SIVA around for it to ever really be in the spotlight again. I also don’t know how you’d comfortably shoehorn it into the current narrative. It’d be weird and super random.

Are Titan and Io destroyed? Mars wasn't destroyed because Rasputin still exists. They were shrouded away from us. As far as I'm aware, that was so Bungie could update those planets and make some changes, as well as to keep things relatively simple while they add in new content. That doesn't mean they can never return. And if Bungie is also bringing in old D1 content, then they're gonna have to bring back Mars eventually. Exodus Black has stores of SIVA on it as well, and SIVA, being a machine designed for large scale replication, could probably just, replicate the replication system. Personally, I think just making some SIVA enhanced Fallen is a bit of a waste, when swarms of nanites could be used to make some really cool new enemy types. It'd be a waste to just throw that away.

Edited by Unbreakable Patches: 3/4/2021 10:52:28 PMIn place of those planets are anomalies, if the information from the Glykon is anything to go off of. These places literally no longer exist. SIVA isn’t a factor anymore and there is no reasonable way it could be one.

Post witch queen maybe? We push the hive back, the darkness retreats a bit, discovers the SIVA caches hidden outside the system. Wakes them up. And starts having them create a replication system for themselves. That's depending of course on if the nanite stores have the plans for the original replicator in there code somewhere. Or in the code for the nanite controller at least. That's always a problem with replicators. If you can replicate the replication system, it can just keep making more. In this case you have the leftover or hidden away nanites, that, so long as they have power, some raw materials, and the plans for the original replicator in there code somewhere, they can always just make a new replicator. Which makes more nanites, which in turn make more replicators.

I think you’re trying way too hard to hamfist SIVA back into the game.

Eh, its a fan favorite. Let him have his fun.
