I have had issues with gambit all week with people with buggy networks mine is sitting at 51.5 mbps download and 6.9mbps upload with a 16ms ping but I'm the one that got restricted just before iron banner, tried emailing and even tweeting bungie but absolutly no responce. Not sure why I even got restricted from crucible at all very rarely go near it to be honest.

1 ReplyFor answers on why you were restricted, see Destiny Account Restrictions and Banning Policies and read the "Why was I restricted?" section. The #Help forums are not able to assist with appeals of restrictions or bans. However, there is a process in place for you to appeal your ban or restriction. Please review the Contact Form: Appeal Ban or Restriction article found here. Please note that, as mentioned in the article, there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that your ban or restriction will be overturned. I recommend you follow the Network Troubleshooting Guide linked in the article above to improve your connection. Not taking steps to improve your network connection will likely result in another restriction, which will not come with an advanced warning.

I can agree with you on that, peer to peer is the reason and lack of dedicated servers are needed. Last week I was given a ban restriction for 2 weeks from playing crucible or gambit. I will say that I have satellite at 40mb down 1-2 up at the time I was given the ban after having played a match of gambit to complete my salvo ornament, luckily I finished just before being banned. Still no idea why I was banned restricted as i was simply just banking motes to get the ornament. Also i am hard wired to my net don't own a PC, and just a PS4 is connected to it, also I live in a rural area so no internet is available other than satellite or wifi hotspots and if someone replies with just move and get better net during a covid 19 epidemic and risk getting infected to just play a game your out of your mind. Now I respect this game have been here since Destiny 1 Alpha and over 5000 hours allotted over D1 to current season D2 I respect the rules and try to avoid playing game types like gambit or crucible and Never Play Trials unless I'm going for a weapon to get for collection, as I know I do not have fiber internet I try not to ruin the 1% of players in the game mode. But to be banned for 2 weeks over something so petty as banking motes for a quest that is part of the season i paid for is insane. Not to mention Bungie made seasonal weekly challenges that Require you to play gambit/crucible to get in game currency and for quest reward objectives to be completed. I think the penalty is way to unforgiving given the circumstances and should reduce those bans on people who have not so great internet or if servers kick you or if mother nature strikes lightning down on a tree that cuts off your power which then gets you penalized for quitting mid match down to a day worth of ban. It's not like we are cheaters or anything of that nature, we just do not have the best internet on the planet. I hope when bungie expands their offices we get dedicated servers but honestly doubt it, and I worry that my next ban restriction is going to be 2 months for whatever reason it may be that I pray never happens as this was the second offense over the entirety of my destiny career and as a console gamer who never owned a pc. Again a little off topic but still on topic about how there servers can affect anyone.

I learned that I have restricted access to Crucible and gambit, for no apparent reason, first they say that I have a bad connection, something that only happens with destiny, titanfall battlefield game and it never happened, even on the general internet I have no problems, just really with destiny 2, not even on d1. once again we pay for the game seasons, bugs and connection problems are not fixed, on top of this it is our fault ... and do not inform us by email why these restrictions. a little while ago I was in a robbery, in which I was taken into orbit with the robbery music always playing, then I did a lost sector and was disconnected almost at the end ... without any lack of internet ... this is a lack of investment in bungie servers, and I think we have to push for better connections. we are not to blame! I am not to blame for the poor service provided by the servers of anyone I pay for and I do not understand this restriction. You ask for connections almost impossible to have ... this has to be warned at Microsoft because the terms that are used for restrictions are unjustified unfair and imputed to the players without any warning or prior help to avoid. being that the game depends on these activities for the story and development of the character ... we are limited to the bungie's willingness to decide whether to play or not, the fault being always yours. How can anyone explain that i have no problems in any other multiplayer game, i was never restricted in multiplayer and in destiny this happens?

4 RepliesI am restricted for 2 months. That means I can't do IB or Gambit for the seasonal challenges, let alone the IB guns. This is unreal........ I tried to submit a ticket but I'm not even able to fill in the fields required.... what a joke they have become !!!

4 Replieschances are that those "buggy networks" that you saw in others may have just been yours. It's all good an dandy to have a fast connection. But you also need a stable one. Does your internet drop frequently? Are you plugged in via cable? Have you configured your console (if needed) to actually use that cable (on ps you NEED to set this up manually)
