Hey guys, been using an armor 1.0 set since armor 2.0 dropped. I was under the impression (armor 2.0) would be modular, with me being able to slot whatever mods I wanted into each piece; so I have been very unhappy and refused to participate in armor 2.0 since it released.
Every mod is arbitrarily bound to a specific sub-class, resulting in complete modularity being thrown out the window for no discernible reason. My randomly rolled old armor is literally impossible to replicate now, and armor 2.0 only allows sub-optimal builds for my playstyle.
Fine, fine. I was OK with all this, since I still got to use my old, hard-earned armor. To me, all my old gear was even more precious now that it was unobtainable. Whatever I did, that was my armor. Playing with friends? I'd be in my armor in a cut scene. Doing a raid? Everyone knew that one was me. Round of crucible? That's just me, in my good old armor. I love that armor. I worked a lot for that armor.
Ergo, I can't justify letting something go just to keep grinding worse rolls every season. I put in a lot of effort and a lot of luck for that armor.
I love my armor, please don't make me throw it away. I literally cannot replace it.
