On top of what Budgiezilla said, all the ranks up through Fabled have a floor, so you won't drop below a certain point even if you go on a losing streak. On top of that, you earn bonus Glory at weekly reset, so long as you played at least 3 matches without quitting in the previous week, to help you along the way; if you find your Glory is above 890, it's better to quit and let the 160 Glory points at reset take you up to Heroic rather than risking another loss.

Oh, nice. Is there any way to tell how much bonus Glory is awarded at reset?

That information should be at the bottom of the article I linked, but I can confirm that you get 120 points at reset while in Heroic, and 80 while in Fabled.
