Gifted copy of Shadowkeep on Steam, Season Pass not working

"Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Standard Edition The standalone edition of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep includes a digital copy of the game and one Season Pass, providing exclusive activities and rewards" I was gifted a copy of Shadowkeep by my husband so we could CONTINUE our Destiny 2 gameplay. We have 2 copies of the game and have given Bungie a TON of monies already. His season pass is working, but it tells me I have to spend silver to activate mine. This is a separate copy on an entirely different computer. We aren't sharing profiles. He purchased it after activating his own. Is this a known issue that will be fixed, or this just the way it be?

  • I’m having the same issue on Xbox. My fiancé bought his own digital copy, and gifted a digital copy to me but apparently I have to buy the season pass separately. Our understanding was the season pass would come with my copy since it was purchased and not game-shared. We are not at all impressed, and honestly are rather pissed off.
