There is a reason to keep them. When new seasons happen any exotic quests are powerful to the current content even if it's an old quest.

True! I purposely do this if one guardian already has it.
-
There’s over fifteen powerful drop sources that all take half the time of one exotic grind.
-
Yes but if you Almost complete the quest, it’s better to hang out until the next season if you already have it on another character. It drops at the higher level with little effort.
-
So I should redo lumina twice just to get a slightly higher drop for the next season? Way too much grind,
-
You can guarantee a specific slot, yes it's worth it. If you are already max light for the season and have nothing to do, you can very easily complete quest steps by doing other things and then just complete the last part in a new season when you need a weapon of a specific slot. Just because you dont like seeing quests on NPC inventories, doesnt mean they aren't useful.
-
I mean I’m just saying that’s a very convoluted way to level up quickly, and it would only work for so many seasons. Better off just doing the milestones each week.
-
Maybe it does take a bit longer to do quests if you dont prep for it, however forcing a specific item is more valuable than doing milestones. This is why menagerie was so popular originally. Once you run out of milestones you then force specific items to go that much higher. If you ever had planned to do raids within the first week of launch, these are valuable tools.

Look not arguing however If I have nothing much to do that’s what I will do.
