I agree......but if you look at the responses / complaints in here you’d think competitive is great and the community is the problem. If you speak against the current status quo you get hateful responses from those with the mentality I believe is the problem. Competitive is at an all time low I think...D1 or D2....because sportsmanship is gone to the gutter. It’s not that one can’t adapt to countering hand cannons, shotguns, and shoulder charges.....I just hate the attitude / atmosphere that competitive seems to foster now over these pinnacle weapons. It’s just nasty. And don’t get me started on the meltdowns some are having over Revelry and demand their game mode be exempt. I’d like to come back to competitive...but not until they clean it up. To be fair, I don’t raid like I used to either over attitude. This is a game and folks have forgotten that.

Ah, a diamond in the rough for the Destiny 2 community. I've made another post similar to this one, but it was down-voted to the bottom due to the stubborn community you mentioned.
Competitive is at an all time low I think...
I 100% agree with that statement. Comp has the lowest population and it feels like Bungie is trying to yank players into it by locking the meta weapons behind it. Like you, I want to play comp more if it had the proper tweaks. In order to do so, they'd have to tweak it so it appeals to Destiny's entire audience. But at the moment, people are incredibly hostile.
And don’t get me started on the meltdowns some are having over Revelry and demand their game mode be exempt.
I've not even played Crucible once during this event because of that.
To be fair, I don’t raid like I used to either over attitude. This is a game and folks have forgotten that.
Yeah, me neither. I go to LFG sometimes for raids. Are people alright? Sometimes, sometimes not. You see, people? Now here's a guy who is nice, has his own opinions and isn't an effing D!ck about it. This guy is a paragon.

  • Thanks, yeh....I hope Bungie does some soul searching over PvP. The loudest are not always the majority....and just sometimes...how you get something (the journey) is more important. I’d rather not have some of the weapons / rewards if it means being around a mess to get them. I’ve always thought Destiny was more than “me, me, me”...”I want”...”Get Gud”. I don’t usually speak so bluntly....but the past few days I’ve had enough and probably have said too much...but Im just sick of it. There’s a lot wrong with PvP but I’ve played, adapted, and put up with it so folks can get their pinnacle weapons....but a simple event (Revelry) comes along and some folks absolutely loose it. I say adapt and ride the wave...the event will pass, but what is really wrong (what you post about and what many of us will still have to deal with) will not...it will still be here when this is event is over and we will still have to suck it up. I hope they make some real changes and the community can come back together in PvP. Good gaming!
