I originally got the game back in November and couldn't get past the Buffalo error. I tried all the troubleshooting steps (including disabling IPv6, changing region, and having Battle.net scan Destiny 2 for errors), but I couldn't get it resolved. I saw several other players report the Buffalo error code around the same time and so I figured it was a temporary problem. This was back in early November.
I tried it now and still got the same error. I repeated all of the troubleshooting steps. I'd like to know what the next best course of action is for me.
